@calitrees916 this is mega. Made me feel that i am way over powered for my are.

I have 2x 3 qb pannels... So 6 pannels in totally in a 5x5 running at 2100ma
You may want to consider using a potentiometer to dim the drivers a bit, hlg drivers have that option depending on what model you purchased. I originally went with the "a" version meanwell drivers because they have an internal potentiometer but before application I didn't realize how hard it would be to crank the drivers up/down if needed with a full canopy, my drivers are mounted on my rigs. I have now started purchasing the "b" version drivers because I can add an external potentionmeter which makes it easy to crank up/ down the drivers with a full canopy if needed.

@calitrees916 , I've been watching your grow from the beginning and I almost pulled the trigger on the HLG boards. Instead I went with the Samsung strips with lower amps to each strip and have the light close to the plants. What's your thoughts on these LED's coming from HPS? How are the buds turning out?? You mentioned before the colas are small, but no worries it's the first run. I'm sure you'll dial it in. I'm just started using the LED's and I will start a grow journal here soon.

@Befri I can say that I was very skeptical at first however I seen some first hand stuff from a buddy of mine that went from de's to LEDS's. I was sold once I seen his results. I can't quite say that your going to yield like crazy just because you have LED lighting, there are way more factors than lighting alone, but what I can say is if you can yeild at least the same if not more with less energy consumption from the wall, it's a no brianer. In perspective to cola size I really feel it's strain and environment dependent. Like some strains throw out choppers and some don't and if your environment is not right you still won't get choppers. I do believe LED's are capable of supplying sufficient lighting for our needs. To answer your questions of how are the buds turning out the answer is GREAT! Some of the most dense stuff I've produced to date. Lastly I would like to thank you for watching this thread, I wish more people would converse as it does get boring just posting pics. Lol! Cheers buddy!!!

I don't use tables. I have a 5'x5' canopy. Kinda like a scrog, I built two 5'x5' frames out of pvc and slapped a trellis net over it. But my guess would be 3-4 lbs. idk tho... I hate guessing. Lol
YeH haha don’t wanna jinx nothing ay I never seen any pots lol... man that gp5 is dank stuff brother Is that like a strain out there or your person creation? I am going to start to really fill my canopy up next time, just here in aus I don’t want to be caught with too much coz what I got atm I can say it’s personal haha

I've been growing under SE HPS bulbs for last 10 years or so, and I've been waiting to pull the trigger on LED's. Everyone I know that's growing locally uses and swears by DE HPS lights. I'm looking forward to seeing for myself what these lights are able to produce. Savings on energy cost and maintenance cost is what I'm looking forward too. I can't agree with you more on the yield, I've had my challenges over the years. There's always something that becomes an issue; pump fails, A/C goes out, pest issues, etc. Traditionally I have always grown in DWC, DIY under current systems, and I've tried PPK style. I need to get around and start a grow journal. I have 6 ladies that I had outdoor to start, and was going to grow them outdoor. But I have decided to move them under my LED lights I just built to see how they do. They are in grow bags with soil. I do have clones vegging now in coco, and that will be my first run in coco. I like the idea of coco because of it's soil like medium, but you treat it like hydro. Another thing I like about coco is that you don't have to worry as much about water temps/root rot as long as you have DTW, and no sitting water in your plants. Cheers brother, and happy growing!! Can't wait to see the finish product, I'm sure it smells amazing in there!

Exactly what I did, A version seems easier until you need to adjust them while hanging, if they were mounted externally it would be ok, but not on the fixture.

@Bongsmoke420 on page 1 you can see my pots and trellis before the canopy trellis 100% filled. The GP5 is part of an inhouse breading project that my partner and I love to call "okie and bean productions" lol.

Sounds like we run into the same problem. Lol a version drivers mounted on rigs are tuff to dim with a nice canopy. B version drivers with a lead that hangs down works great.
