Why? To satisfy the wet dreams of a few power hungry maniacs with money. Instead of capping personal income wealth to begin with.

Thats not you are I, that's why we don't believe it can happen, but it does, all the time, since the beginning of civilization.

Keep voting into the two party system. Seems to have worked every other time in history./s

If the former, why do you think that organizing a community is making trouble? For who exactly? What trouble would that be? Exactly how did Obama make your life awful? Please be specific.

This thread is the problem with internet politics. No eye contact, no body language, no tone, etc. It's easy to devolve into being insulting when you don't have to look someone in the eye.

Plus, the irony of what I consider the traditional left (most of the people in this thread) going after the dogmatism on the right is outstanding. The traditional left is so dogmatic that you can't even have ideas that would also be considered left, just more or less than traditional left.

This thread is also a microcosm of the democratic party. It lacks leadership and everyone is running around nipping at (would be) political allies.

I appreciate what you are trying to say. However, the Germanic tribes of the 5th century also lacked leadership and often fought against themselves. It was little consolation to Rome.

I agree.

Until liberals can be honest about how their dogmatic views are self limiting, they'll keep giving right wingers opportunities to wreck our democracy.

Maybe this is how Rome foundered, too. After all, without crippling internal strife, no disorganised crowd of tribes stood a chance against them. Everyone who has actually studied the era knows that.
