Something in OF that attracts gnats......other then being moist and rich....not really....... Rich is basically all potting soils - not media's. So that helps a bit. Still, seen them in all forms of hydro too (If they had a media starter/holder, like expanded clay. I saw a guy with larvae in his root riots, before....I think the fighting has come near it's end. Not much else can be said at this point, It will just be repetitive and become boring soon without new material, at least for the rest of us. Bet if it happens again the ratings on it will be down.
Love real time bud porn, hate it when it looks better than mine, but I still want to see it.
A lot of scientists here and no one can say if ingredients in ffof may create stronger conditions for gnats to survive and thrive versus other soils, sad. Guess it wasn't scientific enough. I did enjoy chemphlegm's answer.
And a real life real time gnat story gets lost in the garble, probably my own garble. I have more real life gnat stories for another day. Probably irrelevant to the pirated direction of the thread.
Her is a tip for the Buba's out there, the one's that can't spell Bubba.
Don't feel sad that you don't have a clue about some of the things being said above, I don't either. You don't need to worry about that shit to grow dank weed.
You just need a good environment, good soil a seed and water.
My confidence is still high that I will have dank xtal this time, strong indicators are plant conditions and not surprisingly my water style. It is quite similar to the way I watered before I ran into problems.
My tasks are fun now. Mostly trying to figure out how and when my plants pray. Hope praying 24/7 is a good thing because that's what I'm shooting for.
My nicest bud picks are pre 2016. The mediocre bud above is the best I had in 3 grows, or for me 2 years. If the grow taking place now (water only, 3 week flower) does not develop the xtal I'm looking for, I will retire my avatar and put the most recent shitty bud in place of my avatar.
So being moist or damp all the time is a big attraction.
