Ok,but how? I need 40 lamps for 40 square meters. I need to get those lamps to be good as HPS 600w if possible but more, more efficient..
Thanks :)

I am looking to buy a lights. I am looking for best replacement for HPS with good efficiency. I have my reasons and its not about money. Im thinking to go on bigger project and here in Europe you dont want to steal an electricity. Thanks :)
Why do you not want to steal electricity...?

Ok my friend, the same quote goes to you then :)
CMH comes in 315w only, I'm pretty sure. The PPFD is around that of a 600w HPS, if I'm not mistaken? Admittedly, I run COBs and have never run CMH, but I see the data and the results and am assured of its worth.

COBs are expensive as well, but at 241w of light (plus fans, so ~270w) you get around the same PPFD as a 600w HPS as well.

If 40 lamps for 40 meters, you'll probably reach that better with CMH. A single 100w COB covers about half a meter. But the heat might be intense enough to give you away with that many CMH, I don't know.

You probably shouldn't be doing this if you are afraid of cops busting you. For 40 lamps, your bill will be suspiciously high.

Is there any COB to cover a full square meter and how efficient would it be? Thanks

40 x 315 = 12,600w.

Average kWh in the US is 10¢ an hour. So, that's like 22 dollars a day for an 18/6 light cycle. Multiply that by 30, that's about $680 a month. 3-5 month cycles..

Probably not a single chip, but likely a 2-3 chip fixture would do it. COBs and CMH are probably the two most efficient horticultural lighting technologies currently available.

How come 3-5 month cycle? My cycle is 2 months from the clones to the finish 8 weeks.
I dont know man I have one lamp HPS (600w) on one square meter and Im looking for to get that to be more efficent maybe 200-300 watt per square meter, but with the same amount of the finished product or near as with HPS lamp.
Paying the bill is not the option, cause from where I come from when they see lets say 500 eur on eletricity bill they know something is wrong... thanks :)

If you are willing to spend the time, effort and money, you can get similar or better results from 400 watts of cob LED that you are currently getting with 600 watts of HPS, with less cooling load.

All I'm saying is, don't try to cover 40 square meters if you are trying to keep shit on the DL.

From clone, it'll be quicker, obviously. If you veg for at least 2 months from seed, I'd count on pretty damn near a pound from 2 plants.

Spectrum King, I think, not positive but 90-120 lumens per watt. Not very efficient in comparison.
What's it illegal to grow there?
If so, you need to mesh that space into commercial property that already uses high power. Risky buss.
