We should stop defining people as "75% white, 12% Martian and 13% Native-Latino-Indian".

We're all fucking Americans, quit the Tribalism bullshit.
Yes, but no;

Yes, stop prejudging people based on a name or a skin color or an accent.

NO, don't ignore that everyone has a cultural heritage, and that they have a right to be proud of it- as long as it isn't biased against others.

People could learn a lot from one another.

I find it to be a bit pointless to be proud of something you never achieved or even helped achieve yourself.

I celebrate (aspects of) my parents and their lineage. Same concept. I also wonder about the orchard employee that fathered my sister nearly 60 years ago....

jews tend to celebrate their heritage because they've been persecuted for millenia and still managed to survive.

i don't see much reason why whites should do the same, since they were the ones doing the persecution.

You don't have to like everybody, but it would be good to get along.

In a perfect world, yes. So much easier said than done.

We don't have to 'twist' shit.

You've plainly admitted you're biased as fuck and then tried to justify it.

Fuck you and the heritage/ghetto pass bullshit you rode in on.

You're a disgrace to everyone who has ever fought for a free, fair and equitable America.

Crawl back into your hole or admit that you're part of the problem.

Personally, I don't think you have the balls to admit you're the asshole.
You told me to admit it if it's true and I did. I don't have a problem here. I simply see a way to minimize it and believe strongly that it should be common sense.

I didn't ride a ghetto or race card in here. It came up as I was trying to defend my point when someone made a personal attack at my experience in life. At no point did I say that I personally have a problem with names I perceive as stupid. I simply belive they are stupid because the create rifts. I used plenty of logical examples.

Do I judge people based on how they promote themselves? Yes. Do I personally use those judgements to create rifts? I try not to, but it happens.

I'm sorry if my opinions based on the facts offend people. That was not my intention.

Oh, and yes, I am an asshole. However I did not come in here trying to be one. I'm also not the only one here.
