Listen, I get what you're saying. I really do. For a large portion of my life I did just that. I grew up in an area that was predominately white, and I have white friends to this day that I consider family. But I also had friends growing up that I was not allowed in their house, and they couldn't come to mine. I've been followed simply because I drive a particular car. I've had my qualifications questioned at different places of employment. I couldn't prove it, but I'd be willing to bet that I've been denied employment because I'm black. I could on but I think you get the point. Try walking around carrying this literally every day of your life. I am at a point to where I'm gainfully employed and very secure in my employment, so I've decided that I don't have to play that game anymore. If you don't like me because of my race, as long as it doesn't affect my bottom line, I have no desire to try and change your mind. I spent a lifetime trying that, and nothing seems to change.

I tend to try to smooth out problems between people even when my help isn't asked for. I agree with some things you post and think you are a good guy. I also agree with some things ace says and it just bothered me to see you guys arguing for some reason.

I had a black friend who would constantly point out who was staring at him or when he could tell someone was a racist shitbag. I saw my employer refuse him a job on the color of his skin. At least I am pretty sure that's why my friend didn't get the job. My boss was a racist and sexist SOB. I only got my job because he liked my ass. He tried brushing up on me a couple times and I threatened to report him the second time. I know it happens is what I am trying to say.

Agree. Have you ever read the 5th wave books? I'm on the third one and the way people will follow orders and view others as the enemy without much of a second thought made me think of the mentality of bad cops and the mentality of people who blindly follow orders. Then there are those that selfishly protect themselves and exclude all others.
