Just seeing who all else agrees that rape should be punishable by death.
So you are saying lets feed a house the disgusting fucks who takes joy in violating the innocent?because i cant physically prove hell exists to torture someone whos done harm the death penalty serves me no purpose and imho gives the person an easy way out
a rapist can rot in jail for life.
and imho you're no better sentencing someone to death and giving them a lethal injection or the chair in my eyes murder is murder you're committing a crime if you are apart of his or her death regardless of what they did.
the death penalty has been proven not to work. it doesnt solve crime nor does it stop it.So you are saying lets feed a house the disgusting fucks who takes joy in violating the innocent?
If people where to see rape dealt with swiftly by a death penalty they might just think twice.
LOL...the death penalty has been proven not to work. it doesnt solve crime nor does it stop it.
True, the death penalty has been proven not to work at reducing crime, but if all you care about is killing criminals, regardless of its effect on crime, (if your version of justice is punitive rather than reformatory) the death penalty totally works (albeit slowly) in that it successfully kills people.the death penalty has been proven not to work. it doesnt solve crime nor does it stop it.
How can it be proven not to reduce crime you remove a potential repeat offender.True, the death penalty has been proven not to work at reducing crime, but if all you care about is killing criminals, regardless of its effect on crime, (if your version of justice is punitive rather than reformatory) the death penalty totally works (albeit slowly) in that it successfully kills people.
Well, it's much cheaper to give them life in prison than it is to execute them. Death penalty cases cost the state between $500,000-$1,000,000 more than non-death penalty cases, and a death row inmate costs $90,000 more per year than an inmate in gen pop.So you are saying lets feed a house the disgusting fucks who takes joy in violating the innocent?

How about we reduce this price down to 10$ worth of fucking rope. The reason those numbers are so high is so prisons can use us as cash cows, you don't want to get rid of the thing making you money.Well, it's much cheaper to give them life in prison than it is to execute them. There are countries with the death penalty for rape and they have some of the highest rates of rape in the world. There is no correlation between instituting the death penalty for a crime and reductions in that crime. "Scientific studies have consistently failed to demonstrate that executions deter people from committing crime any more than long prison sentences. Moreover, states without the death penalty have much lower murder rates. The South accounts for 80% of US executions and has the highest regional murder rate." As a matter of fact when states stop executing people, the murder rate goes down. Explain that. How can it be proven not to reduce crime you remove a potential repeat offender.
Total number of executions since 1976 1,392. I wounder why it doesn't work, because it is barely used.
Cite me a site. Tell me this does it not remove all possibility of a repeat offender for rape. Also the states don't execute rapist so that doesn't really hold any water in this conversation. There are countries with the death penalty for rape and they have some of the highest rates of rape in the world. Yes it does, but it won't stop a new offender from committing rape, and is no more effective at preventing repeat offenses than a life sentence would be. As to your second assertion, you were also questioning whether the death penalty works to deter crime, period, so they totally do hold water. If it doesn't work to deter murder, it doesn't work. And if it doesn't work to deter murder, why would it work to deter rape?Cite me a site. Tell me this does it not remove all possibility of a repeat offender for rape. Look at the astoundingly low execution numbers no duh it doesn't make a reduction in crime because it is barely even used. A life sentence is a drag on the economy. 85% of the counties in the US have not executed someone in 45 years .Yes it does, but it won't stop a new offender from committing rape, and is no more effective at preventing repeat offenses than a life sentence would be. Have at it:Cite me a site.
It's not just America, world wide countries that execute criminals do not have lower crime rates. "Fagan and two collaborators recently compared murder rates in Hong Kong, where capital punishment was abolished in 1993, and Singapore, where a death sentence is mandatory for murder and other crimes and is typically administered within a year and a half. The researchers found little difference between the two Asian metropolises."Look at the astoundingly low execution numbers no duh it doesn't make a reduction in crime because it is barely even used. And they all have lower murder rates than the ones that actually do execute people. Again, you ignore the simple fact that where executions are most common, murder rates are the highest. Also, international statistics do not support you. If you were correct, the more people a country executes the lower its crime rates should be. That is not the case. As I have pointed out. Over and over. And over.Total number of forcible rapes in 2012--------------------78,287
Total number of people currently on death row ----------3,261
Total number of people currently in the USA-----323,995,528
Hmmmmmm
The death penalty is not applied correctly. We are not executing enough people to make the system work correctly. The deaths should be held as a public viewing at a courthouse or other public government facility.
You seem really passionate about killing rapists. I don't see this same passion from you about other crimes, including murder. Were you raped as a child.Cite me a site.
