I've seen that air rifle in action, it is a total beast. I'd love to own one.

But does it really, and humanely, take down large game? The grain weight of the pellet can't possibly be more than 30 to 50 grains.. (just guessing)

Just insert steel .177 BB into lead .22 pellet.

Might work. I think it would lose velocity and be out of balance.

My gamo with the faster aluminum pellets shoots clean through two washing machine lids.

See that's what gets me. Take them big game air rifles. Are the rounds considered a bullet? And what would a steel core one do?

Its not like a standard air rifle. You have to charge them with a nitrogen tank. They shoot .357. Some other makes shoot .50 just like a muzzle loader.

I say they pack more of a punch than a muzzle loader.

Cool thing is you can get more than one shot after charging it.

They are sub sonic. Pretty quiet. Now the gamo and other .177 can break sound barrier with the right pellet. Mine cracks like a .22 rifle.

I imagine as the tech gets better you might see sonic speeds out of large caliber air rifles.

Yeah, the scope has an adjustable objective. Pretty much gotta have it at those ranges.

I actually don't look at the target when I shoot at it. I keep my eyes on the crosshairs.
