I do not see Palin as stupid. That is a trap Progressives set for themselves. It is a mistake to underestimate her.

I do think she is a political lightweight who lacks the necessary work ethic required to overcome her deficiencies in the national political landscape.

She would make a decent Senator from Alaska if she applied herself, but I fear she wants more. This is because she listens to her sycophants while she ignores her legitimate critics.

Republicans would be well advised to encourage her to stay where she is.

Palin, honey, stay where you are. Acquiesce like a good politician, until 51% are convinced you have better prospects. And then run for a seat that we think you can win. It's just the way it's done.

If she runs for or wins the Presidency, you guys are idiots, and are screwed. If we have another Obama term, you guys are screwed.

You clap in celebration for what would screw you just as much as anyone else. Talk about cutting off one's nose to spite one's face.

Dude, you're just trolling now.
Now?

(or are you just gonna change the subject again?)
When will the rhetorical questions end?!

CHChoda I sometime spread $hit to see what fly would land. You seem to like being that fly. ROFL

I think Palin simply wants to get hers, $$$ that is. That's why she left Alaska to come down to the lower 48 prospecting. One doesn't make a lot of money running for president, especially when you know you don't have much chance.

But what's this? Well-connected people are whispering in her ear that there is a role for her - a role in which she can make millions and be a big name on the political scene for years, not months. She has a following, she brings eyeballs to the TV screen. She plays well in public, she can fill stadiums. She can breathe fire and be a pit bull going after the opposition. As long as she is well-scripted and well-handled, she is compelling. And in this role she never has to submit to any unfriendly interviews.

The plan is for her to be much more than another Huckabee on Fox news. They want to make her into a figure for her segment of America something similar to what Jesse Jackson once was for his. She can level brazen attacks and make news just by speaking. You don't have to be a genius to see this coming. You can believe it won't work, but it will to some extent. This is why they are afraid of her. A threat like this cannot be taken lightly. The attack is on. Problem, is - they have already hit her with everything but the kitchen sink and she's still coming.

I could not agree more. She is very well placed at FNC to make an enormous impact.

But, I just don't see her staying there for long. I am afraid she will 'resign mid-term' as she did in 2009 and make a run for 2012.

I see an opportunist streak in her that will ultimately not be good for Republicans.

I couldn't care less about that, but it would also open the door for another Democratic Presidential term; which would be bad for the country.

Sure. Could be.

I believe Palin is a steward of conservative resources, at this point. I believe she will faithfully support and contribute to those conservatives who would fight against the political hierarchy existing in both parties. That's why I contribute to her. I trust her, financially, to be my proxy. She has earned that trust, and respect, in my opinion.

These are the peoples seats, as Scott Brown so eloquently put it, and Palin, and conservatives generally,, agree.

What can I say? I was the son my dad never had, and according to my mom the most feminine tomboy she'd ever seen.

I heard they deliberated her "mid-term resignation" severance package before she signed anything.

Dude, My dad got a letter just like that from "them" when he was running for office. I wonder how many presidential hopefuls have been cut off at the pass by the same rejection letter?

Give it a watch. The guy analyzes Palins flaws right before your eyes. You can clearly tell how unimpressive her answers to all the questions OReilly was tossing her were, you don't even need the commentary to see the pwnage, she does it herself, with every interview. lol

This thread is another example of so many pointless far left diatribes devoid of any discernible or articulable point. It is simply another helping of mindless, baseless, inane yammering of the Left.

Threads such as these should, to anyone paying attention, demonstrate the difference between the logical, well thought out, well articulated, cohesive ideas of the Right, and the mindless inane yammering of the Left. The quality of each side's style of argument should, to any thinking person, be indicative of the writer's intelligence and the quality of his thoughts and opinions.

I think it is reasonable to argue that one choosing sides could and would make the right choice if they based their choice solely on the two styles of communication. This one fact alone speaks louder than the actual words IMO.
Yeah yeah yeah..............Yawnnnnnnnnn

The Fox Juggernaut: Why It's No. 1

Posted:
01/21/10

Those who like to bury their heads in the sand won't want to read this. This is about Fox News and its march over the nation's news media, knocking off and steam-rolling other news channels while cementing its stranglehold at the top.
.................

And now they've got Sarah Palin, the Wasilla beauty queen. When she made her debut on "The O'Reilly Factor" last week as a Fox News political analyst -- however much we enjoy chuckling at that -- the ratings went through the roof. Her appearance drew 3.9 million viewers, more than anything else on other cable news shows combined in the 8 p.m. hour.

With such an attitude from a garden variety Proggy such as yourself, it's small wonder that Obama got teabagged by Scott Brown.

Keep your mouth open after that big yawn because come November a lot more Democrats are gonna get teabagged.

It's funny that you changed your signature after the ground moved beneath your feet.

Welcome back! :fire:
