Has anyone ever thought that society has trained all of us to chose sides and fight. Division keeps the masses distracted while the real agenda unfolds. What that agenda is? who cares.
It would seem that members associated with a website such as this, might see the symbolism of the basic freedom we all agree on, and start from there too join in strength of other commonalities, rather than differences within each of us.
I know probably sound foolish, but thanks for listening.

So opposing gay marriage is bigotry...

Huckabee opposes gay marriage...

You support huckabee...

...

I'm shocked. SHOCKED!
Where did you get the idea I support Huckabee? :dunce:

You automatically equate agreement on one issue with unconditional support?

Or is it because I said he is a hard worker?

Or a genuine nice guy?

I previously said I could agree with a politician on one issue and disagree with them on another. Neither position signifies support or opposition.

I agree with President Nero on a couple of issues, but that does not mean I support him.

I would ask you if you were high, but I already know the answer. The question should be just what are you smoking?

I only mentioned Huckabee as a contrast to SP, I did not intend for it to become a Huckabee thread.

Hey thats a good arguement and I cant disprove that. But I dont think that becuase naturally there is division in most things. the truely Great part is Survival of the stongest. By division the stronger side useally preveals pushing it on up the evolvutionary chain. But It would be awesome if you turn out being right. It would be easier to get world peace.

There are no real reasons gay marriage should be banned. Besides personal bigotry or religious bigotry.

On one side you feel homosexuals are some sort or lower human. Or you feel homosexuals are the devil's spawns.

More experince then obama your SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only thing she got going is that thing between her legs, thats one sexy MILF and anyone think theres more to her needs to be banned from USA she is a BUSH in a skirt american IDIOT
Banned. Pretty extremist, no? Banned from the USA for a difference of opinion? :dunce:

I may not be impressed by Governor Palin, but I definitely think there is more to her than a vagina. Should I be banned from my country of birth for that?

That's on par with Gestapo tactics.

Which party are you affiliated with?

Previously I figured this comment to be unworthy of a response. However, on second thought, statements as monumentally stupid as the one quoted should be challenged.

Um no He done proved others you birthers are why the republicians are not seriously taken anymore lol

Is Ron Paul the only true republician left. I think he is.
Actually he is a hard core libertarian, but since you basically become unelectable unless you run on either R or D, he decided to run under R so he actually had a chance. Hes def a conservative though, but that does not automatically qualify one to be a republican.

A pseudo conservative extolling the virtues of a not so bright, albeit hard working, nice guy Christian socialist...moderate liberals like you gave us McCain!

And it was 'My party right or wrong. Toe the line or get the fuck out!' inflexibility which drove masses of voters into the arms of President Nero.

What am I again? Pseudo Conservative or Moderate Liberal? As long as you are dictating to me my political beliefs you might as well be clear.

I am a Classical Liberal, Jeffersonian Liberal - if you prefer; which today makes me pretty damn Conservative.

You should get your facts straight before you go off half-cocked making assumptions about people. Otherwise you make yourself look foolish.

I did not vote for McCain in the General election. And I do not participate in any party primaries; so I did not give you McCain.

Your fellow R's gave him to you.

So do you support Huckabee on abortion? Immigration? Gay marriage? Man made global warming? How about his raising of taxes as Gov....:dunce:? His stance on clemency? Fair tax, yes! What else? I know, he's a genuine nice guy, he's hardworking, and by your estimation, bright. Kind of comes with the governor territory though. A denial of this would show your bigotry.
I agree with him on the Fair Tax. That is all. Why do you equate agreement on one issue with unwavering support?

I agreed with President Nero on ending Federal raids in MMJ states, and if I remember correctly, you had a fit.

See, I can do that. I can pick and choose which issues I agree with. If they conform with more freedom and liberty, I don't care which party supports it. But on the whole, neither major party gives a shit about either of those things. And in their quest for control, both parties are willing to align themselves to special interests which alienate citizens like myself.

And I do not agree that 'nice and 'hardworking' automatically comes with the Governor territory. I will say those traits come with successful governor territory.

If this shows bigotry, kindly explain how.

Why do you insist on discussing Huckabee? This is a Palin thread.

Nevermind. I guess that explains it after all. :-P

Your hopelessly wavering.

So how did your "no more raids" thing work out? Isn't that an issue for the states? Maybe a devolution of power isn't what you're interested in, after all? Deferring judgement to Nero, and all...

It's a "yet another reason not to watch FOX news" thread...isn't your American Idol huckabee a FOX contributor? I guess your intent is just to continue to be evasive in establishing a stance on anything tangible, though?:-P

Exactly how am I wavering? I want the Federal government to conform to the U.S. Constitution completely. That's pretty cut and dried.

As MMJ is an issue for each state to decide, it's working out just fine. If President Nero wants to conform to the 10th Amendment on just one issue, I will agree with him on that one issue.

This is not that hard to understand.

And just what is another reason not to watch FNC? It was laid out clearly in the OP, and Huckabee's name did not come up until Paddy responded.

My position is quite clear. Your refusal to acknowledge it is just one more reason why I shunned the Republican party a long time ago.

The Republican Party bought into Progressive initiatives a long time ago.

This made worse by the fact that the party thinks it can pick and choose which part of the Constitution it will support. Continue accommodating the Religious nut-jobs, big government advocates, and the Corporatist mindset and see where that gets you.

Since Republic is meaningless to the modern Republican, it is the Party which wavered. Not me.

ChChoda, in your inflexibility you fail to understand it is possible to admire someone without supporting him. Bill Clinton is a perfect example.

Bill Clinton is brilliant, shrewd, and a hard worker. I can admire that, but I can also recognize that Bill Clinton is not a nice guy. He is a Sociopath who is a slave to his appetites.

See how that works?

You probably don't.

Obama has spent MORE than ALL THE PRESIDENTS COMBINED, and hell that's in his fist 9 months.
what choice did he have? You would be living under a barter system by now. The economy went tits up in late 2007 and all the way through 2008 - The repugs bailed out the banks with no pre-conditions. Obama has been left with a mess that is impossible to clean up + Peak oil is here - so we are truly flucked! without cheap abundant energy - it is impossible to grow and economy. As for Palin - i cannot believe there are so many dumb arse Americans that support this clown! She is mentally illiterate - god help the world if she ever sits in the white house - i am a Brit and quit frankly we have never stopped laughing at the dumb ass bint.

LOL!

It's hilarious when a foreigner weighs in on American politics.

The Democrats led Congress when TARP passed. Bush signed off on it.

We may very well live under a barter system the way things are going. Obama's deficit in his first year eclipsed all of Bush's deficits in eight years. The economy sucks and he is doing everything possible to cripple it further.

I'm sure that it does not occur to you that Obama is demonstrating that he is just as incompetent as Palin's detractors said she was during the campaign. Or that he is doing precisely the same things that the 'dictator' Bush did.

Like Nero, he will continue to fuck around as America burns.

It's simply a matter of time before the interest on out debt exceeds 100% of our GDP.
