Wiz's 2nd indoor grow w/ chocolope and white widow

ill probably veg for 3 or 4 weeks. I dont want them to get to tall, sound good or do u have any suggestions? Yea i will be topping after that 4th node comes up, just like you said earlier.

How many times a day do you think I should flood the buckets at this stage?

So your system is going to fill each bucket then drain and fill and drain and fill?

yea exactly...there is a main resivoir and a control resivoir...there is a water pump in each one...when the system floods the pump in the main rez pumps the water into the control res which disperses it out to each bucket, the buckets and the control rez opperate off the same water level. So when the pump in the control rez turns on it drains all the water from the buckets and control back into the main rez..it sounds complicated but its super easy..ill put up some more pics of the resivoirs up later if u wanna see how it works.

Yeah definitely! I saw you had the water farm controller. I just bought that and it has made my life a hell of a lot easier. I have it hooked up to 3 Waterfarms and I'm gonna rig it up to recirculate next week when I drain my rez.

yea i had a waterfarm with 8 buckets before this grow and even with the airstones and recirculating system I still wasnt able to keep the PH right on like i wanted to...thats why i went for the flood and drain system...when it floods back into the main resivoir ill be able to keep the ph in check all the time...this system is the shit if you want a bucket system get it going like ive got it, im telling you its wayyyy better...the recirculating upgrade for the waterfarms still doesnt keep everything in sync..with only 3 buckets though itll be alot better for you though.

So far so good. Everything is lookin good and making progress. I am running these little ones at 200ppm, thats just RO water and a little bit of jumpstart. The ph is staying around 5.6 - 6.0...I think they got a little light bleaching but nothing to bad, I know they will darken up once they get some more folliage.

Here are a couple pics I took today..Any advice or oppinions would be lovely. Let me know if you think the light is at a good height for now and if the plants look on course. Thanks guys!

Pretty good man I think things are about to get alot bigger...all of the plants have a bunch of roots dangling down into the bucket water now..I got some OG kush #18 from reserva prevada and they should be sprouting in a day or 2. I bought an extra 400W light so im going to do 3 more plants in the room..here are some pics of the girls so far...ill get some pics of the roots tomorrow.

off to a good start wiZ! i gotta hand it to you man, thats a badass setup you got. i love the huge rw cubes and the 5 gallon buckets. and the fucking rez system you got going! No clue how that shit works, but it seems a hella lot easier then pouring out the water and pouring in the water of each bucket everytime you feed.

Thanks Mo! Yea i used a waterfarm 8 pack on my first grow..So i took what i learned from that grow and made my own. I just did the first rez change today and man its a dream. All the plants have roots hanging down from the top bucket just sitting on the airstones. I just toped them so they look like shit, I didnt top the white widow though.

The system is pretty simple. Its basically a multi flow here is a website scroll down and it shows an animation of how it works...http://www.hydroponics.net/items/details/multiflow.asp

The only difference with my system is the 5 gallon buckets with the smaller buckets sitting on top..also i hooked up each bucket with its own line to the control resivoir( to lower chances of clogging). I read a WHOLE lot of things about oxygenated water(basically the more the better) so i put airstones in each bucket constantly giving all the roots oxygen(huge root growth and better nutrient takeup)...thats pretty much it.

what kinda air stones and air pump you using??

Im using the air pump that came with the waterfarm 8 pack kit i used to use...thats blowing air to the airstones in each bucket. I got the airstones from some aquarium shop, theyre just 6 inch by 1 inch airstones but they do the trick..i may get another air pump and run more airstones into each bucket...the more bubbles the better is what i hear.

Ive got a 1000w and 400w hps that will be horizontal but i think im gunna get a few 150w CFLs and hang them around.

im lovin this grow so far...hope things start blowin up. I just got all the Cana nutes in today and im gunna make a fresh batch of solution in a couple of days. Here are some pics...the white widow(which i didnt top) and the chocolope..the last pic are 5 fem OG kush #18 from reserva prevada and a fem blueberry.

What do you think i should put the ppm at for these girls in the next couple of days?

Lookin good Wiz.
I'd keep the ppm the same at what your using now.
That first pic I can see some clawing on the leaf tips.
So your bordering on over-nuting.
Plus they look good and healthy.
No need to up your ppm.

Just a little update..i got the canna nutes in today so im going to be doing a nut change. The ppm hasnt risen or fallen since i put it at 240 about a week ago so ill keep it at that. Yea mammath the white widow is curling at the very tip of its leaves and ive been watching for them to discolor but they havent so thats good. Once again your input is always appreciated ol wise one. Last grow all my plants were yellow and had fried tips so i feel alot more confident this go. I cant wait to hang up that new light and get the o.g kush and blueberry in their buckets..ill post more pics in a day or 2..
