I have gotten a lot of spam from the anti-legalization crowd and almost nothing on the pro side
Whats the word on the street?

Its passing, with Canada goin all out on weed, I can't see Michigan turning its back on it. I just hope everybody remembers to turn their ballot's over cause the proposal questions are on the back.

Its going to be awesome, all adults can have up to 10 oz of weed with no hassles from LE.

(now if only the cops could also use weed when off duty, like some of the Canadian cops can now do)

Sure I'm keeping my card and renewing it, why not. Got a cool doctor, might well stay in touch with him, one visit every 6 months isn't bad and we aren't getting any healthier as we grow older

I like that Michigan will lead the way for limits, but the whole regulate 'marihuana' like alcohol thing is a canard. There aren't limits on how much alcohol I can posses for one thing.

It's a step in the right direction but should we jump on it or wait until something better? I know abrogate actually cements the rules in to the state's constitution. With micro licenses on this bill a lot of the small time growers are for it but I have a bad feeling that it won't play out the way they want it. Legalization would be great but should we jump on the first bill that comes our way or support other groups to write others.

Ohio voted NO thinking something "better" would come along, that was back in 2015-16 (I forget) and they haven't gotten a 2nd chance yet, their medical weed is a joke too, always getting put off and no smoking it, vapor or eating, so pipes, bongs will still be illegal to have.

No shit there is no limits on alcohol. U also can take it across the borders but alcohol has been legal since the 1930's. And still booze takes up lots of space, a keg of beer is harder to haul around then a pound of weed, so in way limits aren't too bad if it is cap at 10 oz--that is per person the way I understand it. Look at pricing, 10 oz is least $1,000 if its sold at $100 an oz. Who buys $1,000 of booze at the stores, not many people.

Well places like Grand Rapids, up north, will vote it down, We just gotta hope places like Ann Arbor, Detroit will offset it. (hold on, didn't GR voted to OK weed in their city, I believe so) The DA went crazy trying to stop it and lost, lol

Sure there be more regualtions, oh well. More towns, cities will have stores selling weed, that will be the great part of it. Going to Detroit or Ann Arbor gets old fast.Even Pontiac has no stores selling weed, screw that. Once all adults can buy weed, things will change in a hurry. Big money will move into the states and things will get done, we need a "D" governor too. So two things have to happen the D gets in Lansing and the legal weed bill passes, then its no looking back. Programs like TNT could now worried about stopping real bad drugs which are no good in any way or form.

It's never gonna pass. This is like beating a dead horse with a stick. It all comes down to who's gonna get the most money. The govt, or the Lil guy. Sad but true. No one cares about the people. I have a feeling that we will all die with both eyes on the jackpot.

Local churches? I'm willing to bet there are a lot more people in this state that use cannabis than go to church. Also, every poll I've seen on the issue says it's going to pass. Do you folks really think the out-of-state money that greased the wheels of the Michigan legislature for commercial grows came here just to take over the medical industry? They knew recreational was going to be on the ballot and they knew it was likely to pass.

A lot of money that lobbied for the MMFLA was in state but there is a handful of out of state companies coming in. One thing I heard that applicants were told from their lawyers is that do not promote legalization. The board doesn't want it supposedly. If rec gets passed Lara will handle the licensing and people who went through the mmlfa process will apply for their rec licensing. The state will be getting money regardless but I wonder if they want and see how this mmfla thing plays out before going rec.

To my knowledge their rec bill was absolute garbage. It was a monopoly just waiting to happen. This bill is way better and do believe if it doesn't pass the people won't give up like Ohio.
