I know lighting is important but what about soil? When adding perlite do you guys make exact gram calculations or just count each piece?
I count each n every peice of perlight to get it right. 1000,200,863 peices per 10gall container.
I'm sorry. Couldn't help it, just messing with you BigSmo! Lol!

How's the grow going here! Any updates. GPW? Free lights for us to try on a thread? I might be interested. My custom Eco-Sun vs. a stock Eco-Sun. Let's do it.
What do you think Eco-Sun? If you need a guy to bang a pound off one plant, I'm your man, if your lights up to the challenge that is? LMK! If it can be done, I will show everyone on a thread.

Happy someone got a laugh. Some of these debates get a little to heated. Hybrid way would be a good candidate for the comparison test since he completed a grow with Amare. I'm shortly behind, my girls are loving the cobs and monos

That's 3 ecosunlight!! Best way to receive unbiased reviews on a forum flooded with traffic. I'd even be willing to pay for one at cost.

If I had the means to start a lighting company that's exactly what I would do. Lurk these forums and offer a few dozen at that rate to active members. Nothing out of pocket and I bet 50% would take the offer.

I fully understand the question/poll on the subject but after another week I can absolutely say the monos are pretty damn awesome. Weather they help accent the cobs I wouldn't have a clue. But the additional temperature diodes does make sense to me.

Under the Amare I have 10 plants in flower using cobs and monos. In another room I have 5 more in veg just under the Amare monos, then in another room I have 5 under a 315 lec. From all my reading everyone has always said the lec was one of the best veg lights going and it even has enough to bring plants to produce well in flower. Lec pulls around 340 at the wall and the Amare monos are pulling 168 watts at the wall and the Amare side is just a touch bigger and at half the wattage. When they grow a little bigger then the option to flip the cobs on and another 300 watts of power.

Man I just really like the way these are made. They're exactly an Amare for half the cost.
I think they are far from the same as Amare but I'd love to try one out as a comparison grow. Are they top bin Cree cobs and diodes? What's the specifics ecosunlight? Cost of a 6 cob unit?

Yeah , no problem . Which model of Amare you have , so that we can recommend you the same wattage model to do comparison grow . What they use are XPG, XPE ,CXB 3070 . Actually we use the same supplier , cree .

They're really not much different from an Amare besides the UV bulb man... the monos are a little newer on the amare, but that's not a huge deal imo.
If I were you, I'd return the amare if you could and buy 2 of there 6 cob lights with that $$$.
That's just me though.
