I think the point there trying to accomplish is "who should care at this price". If their par #'s are legit then their probobly mid-line bin. Lowest binning will not help them accomplish those #'s.
They haven't told me what drivers they use but did say they were 98%.
There's a language barrier & the sales team doesn't understand what a bin is. They think it's the K-Temp or color nm.
So it's been tough to communicate. They're sales guys not light makers. We know way more about lights in every aspect.
But at these prices & using xpe's with the desired mono & cob combo. , their bound to sell.
I'm trying a few light bars.
I can't justify buying the actual lights though. I have to much riding on max Yeild & longevity to mess around anymore then the led comparison test I did. Back to max Yeild. HPS & Amare for me.
Yeah 98% PF, aka power factor. That's not efficiency, unfortunately.

The spread on XPE efficiency is -huge-, here is red:

The top bin is 60%(!) more efficient than the lowest. The difference between being a great deal, and meh.

The language barrier sucks, but if they are building custom spectrums to order, might as well offer different bins as well.

Editing to add, I get what you are saying but I think selling to this forum in particular is going to be difficult without hard specs, language barrier or not. You saw what happened trying to discuss Amare. They could be the best lights in the world, but most people here don't want to take a manufacturer's word for it, they just want true facts so they can decide for themselves whether it's money well spent.

Hire more knowledgable sales people who speak better English, or sell to less informed Chinese people, I guess. I don't mean that in a negative way, China is OK by me, but those are the realities of actively chasing an English speaking market.

.
1)bin wouldnt matter if electricity was free
2)do you really want to buy gear from a foreign sales guy who doesnt even understand his product?

I think their probobly better then what Advanced led is stiiiiiillllll offering. And we all know how expensive they are.
I'm getting a few light bars & was thinking about customizing a few of those 100w little ones for modular flowering & veg.
XPE whites in the middle with colors around them in the clusters. Could be fun.
Your using one of their lights right?

may I suggest that you DIY a few 660 triple up stars for enhancements instead of depending on a disposable light mfg ?
Obviously I can DIY, but it's more than a few leds, and at ~$100 for a 50W passive light bar why would I bother? I am always building something, but it's usually something I can't buy.

If you have a suggestion for a 25-50 passive led build for cheap, I'm all ears. Seriously.

I know lighting is important but what about soil? When adding perlite do you guys make exact gram calculations or just count each piece?
