WHO WROTE THE BIBLE AND IS IT TRUE

A lawyer told me (he was jewish) that the Torah was passed down orally for generations because no one knew how to read. When Babylon invaded Israel, all copies where destroyed and it was rewritten from memory, that was when the "corruption" started.

In the south, christians told me that the Talmud written during captivity in babylonia contains rules and opinions learned from those pagans.

According to the HOLY BIBLE, Adam and Eve were created 6000 years ago.
These are supposed to be the first 2 humans ever, but archaeologists have found remains of humans and tools dating much further back. Again, I state Science > Religion.
 
Don't lie prohuman, the bible doesn't say 6,000 years.
But it does say Adam gave up 50 of his 1,000 years and Noah's grandfather died "young" at around 450 years.
 
I don't remember reading any of that.
I do remember all the generations listed, and we can calculate mankind's existence to be about 6000.

Also.. Adam and Eve had 2 sons, and one one killed the other. That is a lot of incest humping going on to populate the world.

When I was younger, I was forced to go to Sunday school, as I was raised catholic. It wasn't until I got old enough to outright refuse to go that I stopped studying religion.
Even if people DID live that long (which they don't), it still would not explain some of the science discovered currently on record.

Scientific theories based on observation of actual data makes more sense to me, than a 'god' popping into existence, and creating everything in the universe in 6 days.

The average life expectancy of humans have increased over the years. The oldest documented ages of the longest living people usually does not exceed 120 years old.

According to carbon dating, AND radiometric dating, this is a fact.
We can take it a step further, and state the earth, itself is 4.5 billion years old, and the universe is estimated to be created 13.8 billion years ago.

If we had reason to believe any of those things happened you might have an argument.

The fact that it's written in an old book does nothing to verify that those events actually happened any more than the books that tell the tales of Hercules and Odin are proof of their supposed powers.

They are myths.

I have yet to see anyone perform any miracle greater than turning water into wine, making the blind see, or walking on water. lol

Either it's complete bullshit, or no one actually believes in Jesus.
