Which LED for my 4x4?

First time grower, looking to spend at most $550 on a non-blurple LED for my 4x4

I'm trying to decide between Mars Hydro TS3000, California Lightworks SolarXtreme 500, and the Spider Farmer SF4000.

Will the SolarXtreme really cover a 4x4 being so small? Is the extra 100$ worth spending on the SF, or is the Mars Hydro enough?

Thoughts please. If you have better options than these for a 4x4, I'll look at those, too.

I'd like to have a bigger budget for the light, but you can get Chinese knockoffs for that amount.

I'd really like 2 of these for that space, and I'd turn them down a bit. Or even 1 for now, and get another one later. They're $435 a piece after the "RIU10" code. They aren't cheap.

The maxisun pb4000 is also an option...

I'd love to see someone comment who has experience with these lights.

Do yourself a favor and avoid all those lights.

Either grab 4 HLG QB 96’s paired with a HLG-480h-54a driver or a Meijiu 480w bar LED.

Even 2 240w Kingbrites are better then the options you listed and would only be ~$300.

I like the 4 HLG 96 idea with the 480 driver if he has a high enough tent.

I've heard great things about the Spider Farmer... I'm surprised you say to avoid it.

The HLG require me to build the light, don't they? I'd really like an led that can just plug in out of the box.

You can buy the HLG assembled too. HLG created quantum boards. Technically no one else is supposed to call them quantum boards. I buy the top quality shit when I can and I prefer not to buy knockoffs, but the Chinese Meijiu lights get good reviews on here. They're just not for me.

If you look deep enough, you will find plenty of growers recommending to avoid Mars/Spider Farmer. It's not to say that they won't produce decent buds, but you are essentially paying close to HLG prices for a rebranded chinese light that has poor customer service. Might as well get a Kingbrite or Meijiu for half the price.

The HLG 96's are super easy to "build" if you even want to call it that. Took me all of an hour including building a frame out of angle which you don't need to do. You can hang them individually if you choose to do so and will barely take any time to assemble.

Watch the video, if you think you can do it then go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Wow I'm in over my head. I've never heard of Kingbrite until just now. Basically they're the same as Spider Farmer except they come from alibaba and are half the price?

Kingbrite and Meijiu are manufacturers from China, think of Alibaba as the Chinese version of Amazon. Some people freak out over the fact of ordering overseas but deliveries typically take a week and they have surprisingly good customer service.

Mars and Spider farmer are just middlemen that buy 1000's of lights in bulk, have them rebranded, create a storefront in the US, and double the price.

HLG QB 96's have my vote. If you can use a wire stripper and screwdriver you will be fine.
