If you can spray them, keep leaves moist and on the dry ones maybe put the dome back on for a bit. I just used a cup with holes and misted inside of dome and leaves.mine ended up turning crispy , 2 out of 3 clones, I actually cut the leaves of and they grew them back. I'm not sure if you want to cut them off I think they will drop them when they're done with them. They can only really drink through leaves at the beginning so make sure to keep them wet until they are rooted.

4th pic looks like stem rot maybe
5th pic looks like it could be mold
Last pic looks like PM (powdery mildew)
Does it smell a little funny in there? Maybe musky?
^these are just my opinions, I'm a little 'rusty' and it's always harder to tell from pictures.

You can cut the bad part off if it's not too bad and the clone may survive. It is best to avoid the problem all together.

I've seen that before.... When cloning you want to keep humidity HIGH (90%+), but wet and moist creates a nice environment for mould and other problems.

My suggestion, and this may be a game changer for you - Hydrogen Peroxide. It will help keep things clean. Add a few drops into your sprayer bottle and give them a spray... once. (You can also add a few drops in the water you dip your RW cubes in.)

Get a thermometer to put inside of the tray/dome so you know the exact Humidity and Temperature in there. You usually do not need to spray the clones after the first time they go in. (The closed humidity dome and the RW cubes and cutting should keep the humidity high enough in there. A heat mat helps with this.)

Make sure you open the dome up once or twice a day for a minute or two to let them breathe and get some fresh air in the environment. (This will help prevent your problem as well.)

Using a good cloning/rooting gel/powder can help roots develop. Using a good vitamin/root booster can also help aid the process.

To me they look wet through. Ive never had good results spraying the cuts themselves while under a dome. I stick to spraying the dome when i notice little condensation on the side, (usually twice a day) also a chance to exchange the air.

I agree with joint monster

They look like they where TOO wet

After a few days, 5 days tops that dome should be off.

To be honest

I have been sticking cuts into rockwool with out a dome on to see if they droop

So far ao good as long as they arent in direct light
In fact i was suprised it didnt droop my humidty was at around 55 to 60 though:)

It looks like you probably have a fungal infection. It also looks like the mother plant was probably borderline deficient when the cuttings were taken. That can make the cuttings more at risk of infections. The other thing is if they stay in high humidity conditions. It might seem counterintuitive but taking the dome off for a few minutes every day can take of that one.

Where did you see the mother?

I was going to say sometimes when clones are too wet they wont really put off roots they just cannibalize themselves till they root up.

Hence the deficient looks

But yes since it was too wet they got some mildew/rot cut the affected area
Give a mist with h2o2 and water to kill the rot
Then get them a lil dry time

It's normal for clones to yellow a bit right as they set roots regardless of how wet they are or humidity levels but the dead leaf tips and necrotic spots are a pretty clear sign. Unless there's an issue with ph it's most likely that the mother was borderline deficient. I've seen this a few times and I'm not exactly hazarding a guess.

1. Didnt say you where guessing :)

2. I just wanted to know where you saw the mothers cause i thought i missed something. And i dont care for assumptions lol

3. I stand by what i said though because i just saw damn near the same thing happen with my rockwool clones ie i had them too wet.
I know how to grow just my first time trying wool
:)

4. yes clones yellow "some" cause my aero clones will be perfect except the tiny TEENY tip of the leaf turns yellow when roots strike. In my experience anyway.

Ive even taken plants to the end with cotyledons in tact like big green thumbs :)

Been using aero cloners for i think over 10 years now and i decided to try rockwool for an experiment.

Definitely not my best first shot lmao. But 100% out of 22 clones but they looked like his except mine didnt get any rot caause i pulled the dome after 4days.:)

But i had the cubes too wet which caused the plants not to root. But instead cannibalize their own nutes till it dried out some.

Just my opinion anyway peace :)

I almost guarantee they are so yellow and spotted from spraying with non phed regular water :) ie too wet

water spayed on clones in a dome under bright light makes em yellow out too

The cubes are too wet, the dome is too wet and the mother plant should have been healthier. The cubes should never be more than approx 50% wet in weight from the start and if the clones are thick stemmed from a healthy mother with a good stem cut and sterile tools you dont need a dome, they draw moisture through the stem cut and usually dont droop.
You can scrap that batch.

i shouldve been a little more exact about my words.... there was no more dome because some clones began too root, so the dome was taken off about 2-3 days prior this photo.. i was supposably sprayong the leaves way too often and ive stopped since, they look way better and healthier but some didnt make it... the reason on why i think they got the way they did is because, i accidentally left the dome off before they rooted and they all looked like they were gonna die so i automatically put the dome back on but ever since then, they have looked stressed out....
