No, it is not all talk. Ok, dumping is not the appropriate word. Selling is more like it. If they dumped they themselves would lose money.

Actually, since the 3rd largest economy is in dire straights. Who knows what will happen? Right now it feels like all the rules have changed. Who will profit the most from rebuilding Japan? They can't do it alone.

I wouldn't exactly call that economy in dire straits... in fact, the level of unemployment in Japan will disappear. Materials, plans, designs, infrastructure, etc. their economy, as ironic as this seems, just got a huge boost.

Anyone else catch video from Bahrain of the police firing on unarmed peaceful protesters? At point blank range. I'm not quite understanding the O.P.'s point in this thread. She's pissed off because we're lazy and don't help each other and is proud of the Japanese for being organized? Yet we sent/are sending thousands of rescue workers, military personnel, equipment and money to help with the recovery. Doesn't sound like laziness or a lack of caring to me.

America is the most generous nation on Earth. This is not an opinion it's a statistical fact. Our disaster relief is the largest and most comprehensive of any nation. Speaking of not helping each other out... How many communities on the northeast and midwest band together during floods and tornadoes to help find survivors and try to save homes and businesses? You hear about it all the time. Every spring an area floods and you see footage of volunteers filling or carrying sandbags or looking through wreckage to try and find survivors of a Tornado. Katrina was a terrible tragedy that could have been avoided. That was due to Bush and his cronies. Bad judgment, bad choices, and years of complacency created the Katrina nightmare. There are thousands of stories about people helping each other during Katrina. The crimes committed during the hurricane weren't done by the general population. People tend to forget that prisons were emptied and the prisoners were running amok and caused most of the atrocities that were reported.

I'm sorry but I just don't see the same America you do, O.P..

God, I'm going to take heat for this, yes, I like Palin. I did not like McCain. I am not an R or a D.
You took some heat and you also made everything that comes out of your mouth pointless after you said you like Palin! Palin is one of the biggest retards that has ever run for ofice!

Thinking and laughing how I guessed you did.

Too bad you can't just let people have their own opinion. But, then your Howard Stern, figures. Go troll somewhere else.

Considering how Japan rebuild itself after WWII and your friendly preemptive nukeing, I'd put money on the table saying they will come back stronger than ever. Had a disaster of similar scale hit anywhere else, it would have turned the place into Sudan.

Wasn't Japan technically, like a territory of the U.S. post-WWII for a while?

You have every right to your opinion. I didn't take that from you at all I just said that since you are a Palin follower you let everyone know that you are a moron. Why would you say " Oh I am going to take some heat for this" when you were asked if you like Palin? Because you know that she is fucking crazy! And everyone you meet probably gives you shit or "Heat" because you like her. But from your signature I see that you are a feminazi womans rights kinda lady. What you do in your signature explains alot about a person. It is your forum to everyone that reads it. And by some amazing trick reading 3 of your posts and reading your sig I guessed that you liked the biggest joke of a vice president to ever run for ofice in the US history! I of course am not Howard Stern, I just figured I would let you know that. But he does tell the truth as I try to do and of course he can tell you what he reads to get his world news from. Unlike you hero Palin when asked what newspapers she reads to get her daily news from and she couldn't name a single paper or magazine that she reads! She is a dolt and a total moron and you follow her! ;)

How bout ALL politicians..This country has either been far too left or far right..Fuck both Republicans AND Democrats..Their interests are not in the American people, their interests is what they're for and that's expanding the government where ever possible and getting into our pockets. I got some Mexican friends and believe me they're not too fond of the illegals who cross over the borders just as much as we are.

We Owe Japan a major part of our consumer culture. Video Games anyone, they were innovative in building video games to what they are today for us gamers. The many things they contribute to us Americans on so many minor yet unifying levels comes from the work Japan has done as Americas brother that you don't even know how different we would be without them. It was our agression the last time they were in a situation similar to this, and this time it was random chance and we are standing there. We can ask how we can profit off our brothers injury, or we can see what we can do to help. They deserve our help because if roles were reversed they WOULD help us and we once nuked them! If anyone deserves us to use less so they can do better in this time of crisis its Japan.

There is none more deserving of help than those who normally help themselves.
As someone said it is the japanese culture that willl get them out of this mess.
Anywhere else you could have the best plan in the world, yet you'd have to combat 50% of the people to impliment it.
