blacks only account for roughly 10% of the US population, it's easy to blame them for all of the problems in our society but I don't see how 10% can cause the downfall of our schools, culture and everything they touch? our government doesn't do too much for the people (compared to other govts) as far as I know. We don't have universal healthcare, if I were poor, I'd be trying to move somewhere with healthcare and better retirement programs. I hate to say it but i think education should all go private. This may deter people from having more children than they can support. I pay for private healthcare but everyone's kids go to school for free? It makes no sense to me. Pay for school, this is capitalism, quit giving handouts.
I really am trying to not sound racist but numbers are numbers. If blacks only account for 10% of the population making them the minority why do they make up the majority of our prison population? Is it because the way they grew up, or is it the man keeping them down?

My college chum from Osaka told me how it is for women in Japan. American women would not put up with being subservient.

How many of them will return the favor when the tables have turned.
Let's see, we had a few offer aid with Katrina. Old Geo just didn't accept it, if I remember right.

That being said Obama has dumped on our friends. So don't count on them now.

They are actually 13% of the general usa population. But, they make up 67% of the population in New Orleans.

Personally, I do not believe it has anything to do with race. I believe the general decline that we see in the inner city black community began with the LBJ Great Society. When they removed the husband and father from the home what did they expect. Any child raised alone is a hand full, two parents are better than one and give the child a better chance at a good start in life. imho

Which makes me thankful that I'm American-Born. Although unemployed, I did once work for the City of Tacoma as an assistant auditor and have a degree in business management and my CPA. I did what you call a program that was offered to me in High School "running start" So I was able to finish college course work and earn my creds sooner. There's no if's and's or but's in my family..college is something my parents forced me to do and I hated it at first, but now im thankful..going to open lots of doors.

and i'm sure that number will go up..otherwise you know Japan is going to bitch and complain if they know how much money was given to Haiti. Not to sound like a cold hearted little bitch but I think there should be some negotiations and lines drawn on how much aid and money is going to continue to be put into this mess. People like me need to get back to work first and foremost.

Japan don't need it. Haiti is a shit hole and will not change any time soon. How much of that money went to the Haiti people "12M"? doubt it.

Guys I know everyone on here is frustrated and angry one way or another.. We gotta form together as human beings and just get things done ourselves, we don't need to wait on our government to act out and help, if you want, donate what you can to Red Cross...
I gave money, several times, when Haiti happened. I gave to Red Cross, that cell phone thingy several times, even had my gf do the cell thing (still my acct). Anyway, 10-12 months later, and 90% of that aid was yet to be distributed. Sorry, but I'm hanging back this time around. Not saying I won't help, but it won't be anytime soon.

u cant judge america on what happened in katrina, it mostly effected lower class black ppl, and you know how black ppl act in a stressfull situation...they turn into gorilla mode. For an example of how awesome america is, when that snow storm hit Chicago about a month ago, and Lake Shore Drive was shut down and there were thousands of people and cars stranded in the snow, people that lived on lake shore drive brought out food and drinks for the people that were stranded. Also America is awesome

If katrina had occured in white suburbia, shit would've went down a little differernt. That shit would be re-built in a year.
