What the heck was this dog doing on a beach if it can't be controlled?

In a life or death situation I would certainly kill any dog attacking me and not even feel a little bad.. Not that hyena or beast of a dog pictured before that... But when it comes to other animals even defenseless ones I feel that's just nature unfolding. To say all dogs of one breed are a certain way is the same as saying older Hispanic women are dramatic

These breeds are being destroyed due to misunderstanding. An American Bulldog is originally a catch dog, mostly hogs in the southern US. They are also known for being able to be left unchained in there owners yard and distinguishing game from farm animals. Pits have a history in fighting, that is sad but true. Anyone who studies any genetics (cannabis, etc.) can understand why the pit is one of the most trainable, devoted, healthy, athletic breeds in the world. For 100 year or more every single bad example was culled, not for any reason nice either, pit history is fucked up! I don't condone any of it! But, you have to understand the best fighting pits were not angry dogs, they were trying to please there owner! A good pit will put its life on the line for its master, whether it be fighting, pulling weight, rescue work, anything. There is no breed as confident!

The problem lies with idiots wanting a dog built of solid muscle because it looks cool. Then some "gansta" fuckhead will breed an angry dog, which should never be done with pits! Remember, the confidence is what makes them special! Take into consideration that theses breed have been around as working dogs for a long time. They have only been the subject of so much negative attention since the breed has become so popular, and misunderstood.

It took hundreds of years to breed a good sane animal that can catch and hold prey many times its own size, yet be safe with children. Yet it will soon be extinct in its true form, mostly because of poorly educated people. '

If I let my pit out the front door he will not start any fights, or act angry toward anything. He may mistakenly knock you down and drool and cuddle all over you though!

Didn't WW say 'in the wrong hands'? .. seems quite a measured point of view to me, even if you disagree with it.

No I agree, mainly.

I'm a little squeamish at telling women they should be neutered for expressing a particular view. I don;t tell people how to express themselves online so .... <shrug>

That is NOT a pitbull. It's an American Bulldog. Big difference. Bulldogs are generally pretty friendly though. The other dog seems fine.

Hey UB, how did this delve into gun control?
Whiterwoman kinda dived into that in her OP.

the dog owner, mark kelly, is husband of former congresswoman gabby giffords, who was shot in the head and nearly killed while trying to talk to her constituents in tucson.

after the newtown massacre, gabby and mark started a political action committee to counter the NRA. they support common sense gun safety measures such as background checks, reasonable magazine sizes, and keeping military weapons for the military, not civilians.

all these common sense items are not only fully constitutional, but also supported by a clear majority of americans.

Whiterwoman wants to paint these common sense, constitutional, broadly supported measures as some sort of tyranny imposed on us by king obama, because she is wildly butthurt and not just a little racist (meaning she is very, very racist).

she was not clever enough to come up with this line of attack though, she is far from that clever. this line of cheap, petty smearing was handed down to her by the same lowlives who called sandra fluke a slut and a whore for the simple act of pointing out what should be counted as preventive medicine.

basically, she is carrying water for bigger morons than herself. trying to subtly inject some right wing social engineering into this board.

she did not have the woman-balls to even post this in the politics section. that is how cowardly she really is.

Yeah yeah .. your Dog is tough ... blah. ... are you done?

edit:
She's pretty enough though.

its not that shes tough. She's a house pet.A 44 mag through the guts barely stopped her father though. He lived for 10 years after the neighbor shot him with a fucking 44 bro.I have had to seperate a few pits myself, first hand,on my property.Have you?Its intense and not for the faint of heart.Shovels,2x4's,gun shots don't phase them around here.IDT they have to breathe very much when they are in it for a kill.I think these killing machines require a very small amount of air.

Since they don't sweat and lose most heat through panting, please don't tell me they don't need to breathe when fighting or when 'in for the kill' as you put it.

They are NOT killing machines, they are mammals and as such have certain 'involuntary' responses from water. Even the toughest Man or Dog will gasp if whilst breathing, water enters the air-way. .. that gasp is what I have spoke about .... still you continue to post numerous 'LOLS and RFLMAO'

I'm not trying to convince you ... I'm OK with your disbelief.

For anyone still interested, I looked up this question in ask Yahoo , I think the poster answered his own question though.

How do you effectively make a pitbull release its lockjaw?

our pitbull attacked our boxer a couple weeks ago and had a death grip on her neck. me and 3 other grown men could not get her off no matter how hard we tried. she only released after my sister threw a glass of water on her face and startled her. is there any other quick effective ways you know of to stop it?

Water works but, not with all dogs. I know first hand. Alot of times a loud noise close enough to them will work. Even better than water to the face. A black lab would love water to the face. Probably wouldn't phase him a bit. Anyway, either method can work long enough for the handler to grab a hold of the agressive dog to gain some control. Grabbing them by the neck then lifting their front paws off the ground helps disorient them so the owner regains control. That attack should never have gone as long as it did. Lame people with no clue what damage their pets can do!
