Look if that would have happened in US soil where a crowd of americans got shot down because they looked like they had weapons then it would be 1 question to make a descicion.
1) do americans cause havoc all day and are known for practicing terrorist acts? - eading to yes shoot em all dead.
2) do americans work hard and follow a strict line of rules? - leading to leave em alone its just a crowd walking.
im trying to say you cant turn this around. america is a stable land. were not fucking crazed idiots walking around killing people cuz fucking god is gona reward us in heaven. or going around fucking trying to buy nuclear weapons to start religious wars. this is a battle ground. irag is a war zone. in a fucking war zone its either kill or be killed.
lets say that fucking chopper would of never engaged that target, they said fuck it let it go and gone on with their patrol and that very same crowd seconds later fires that RPG and kills every single american in the helicopter, what then?????????????????????????????????
and were only putting blame on the guy with the RPG. look my mom used to always say, if your friends are doing drugs thats them, but you know your breaking the law with them weather your using drugs or not because your in that group.
why the fuck would you walk around a warzone with a fucking guy thats carrying an RPG.???? when you could be the man walking with his wife and kid to the market (UN-ARMED)

What exactly do we have to be proud of?
That we live in a country where rich people are pampered and poor people ostracized?
That we wage international wars based on lies that kill thousands (if not millions) of people?
That we spend more on "defense" than every single other nation in the world combined? (and if even a fraction was sacrificed, we could feed the entire world 4 times over)
That our education system is severely lacking and trails other developed countries in mathematics and science?
That 85% of the people here believe in magical invisible beings?
That 65% of people are overweight (with 20% being obese)?
That people are imprisoned for non violent offenses (like smoking weed)?
That a vast majority of the population is almost completely scientifically illiterate?
That people don't even look each other in the face when walking down the street anymore?
That all the citizens don't have equal rights or opportunities in the "land of the free"?
That we wage wars on shit that can never be defeated (like drugs or terrorism)?
That our foreign policy creates more and more terrorists at an exponential rate?
I guess we can be proud of the amount of porn and drugs we produce, that definitely isn't matched!

I'm proud of the ideals America stands for. I'm proud our founding fathers created the Constitution and declared independence and established America. But there are also things I'm not proud of, that make me ashamed to call myself an American. How can someone say it's "unamerican" or "unpatriotic" to question the things you think are wrong with this great country, and try to make them better? Isn't that the most patriotic thing one could possibly do?

I love Gandhi and all he stands for, but his way will never take root... if the UK, France, or any Allied country in WWII thought as Gandhi did, we'd all be speaking German right now and have Hitler the Third as our dictator.
Peace is good... but peace is impossible, too much hate, that is why protesting war is pure idiocy. War is natural, wild animals war with each other all the time, sometimes for months or years, or generations... the same with humans, we are animals, we fight, it's natural.
You see? Might as well get used to it, you will never stop war, you will never bring about world peace, and you will never rid the world of guns, knives, etc... etc... all because there are thousands if not millions of people with more money, more power, more pull in the right asses to make sure it never happens.
Live your life the way it makes you happy, stop worrying about new journalists getting killed because they were hangin' with the wrong group of friends... instead, help your local community, focus on things going on near you. You will make a much bigger impact.

Do you think we would have landed on the moon in 1969 if president Kennedy never gave the speech telling the nation and the rest of the world that we were going to?
Think about what it took to achieve that goal.
Mercury, Gemini, Apollo.. Each took years, each cost lives, and each program cost billions of dollars.
You seem to think I want peace to be achieved overnight. That is why I think your idea of never achieving it is irrational. It's a process, it will take years, decades, maybe even generations, but it's a cause worth pursuing. What cause could be greater? Think of how many countless people have died in warfare throughout human history. Billions. Think of the innocent ones who never agreed to participate in the first place. Billions.
There will always be insane people bent on power and money. But these people are powerful because we make them powerful. We give them control over our lives and they use it to benefit themselves. Only a leader who doesn't make a dollar can be trusted with someone elses life because then it becomes true leadership without a conflict of interest. But when people make money off of the death and destruction, it's anything but leadership. It's corruption at it's finest, at the cost of human lives.
You see it as unattainable, I see it as something we can very easily achieve if we take the right steps.
