What Is The Oddest Food You've Eaten?

(If there's a similar post, I searched but couldn't fine one)

Has anyone here ever eaten anything that's a bit unusual and/or exotic?

As a kid, several times I would take a piece of bread spread a nice coat of lard on it and
sprinkle sugar on top.
I've got more to share but first I'd like to see if anyone else does?

Chicken butthole. It's good.

one of my coolest meals was when I was working in China at a brewery. The plant manager was Japanese and took me out to a Sushi restaurant. It was a type of sashimi (forget exactly what) but it was slices of red snapper that were cut off a live fish and was still flopping around.

i believe it was butterflied down the top vein if im not mistaken. and then fried in panko.

Because, I've never heard of anyone else that has eaten/tried it.
Those are two things that are not usually eaten together?

Maggot cheese when i was stationed in Sardinia

Rabbit fish salad on Guam. Only the women are allowed to gather up the baby Rabbit fish which are put in the salad whole. They are only about an inch long. The Mrs. was freaked out seeing the whole fish but once she started eating it it was outstanding, didn't faze me. Not every haole gets offered some, so it was an honor.

My cats butthole when she comes in at 4am and sits on my face ..

this is the best part about traveling.

Like an idiot, when I was a kid trying to be funny in front of my cousins I
had a hefty vanilla milk shake from Swenson's Ice Cream Parlor and sprinkled a good amount of salt on top.
Ruined the shake and wasn't so funny afterall.

When I was a youngster a classmate from a family that had lived in Africa brought a bag of large fried ants to school one day. I tried one and was not a fan.
