I thought about buying a meat slicer years ago, but never did. That's an excellent idea now that deli meat is outrageously priced!Dishwasher filled and running, should finish soon. Got out the meat slicer and cut up the leftover tri tip. I bought some sourdough French rolls so I can either do French dip sandwiches or do a mondo roast beef with tomatoes from the garden and sharp cheddar.
Works great. I can get it really thin.I thought about buying a meat slicer years ago, but never did. That's an excellent idea now that deli meat is outrageously priced!
Works well?

I've got ~10 planks of white pine, 2ft x 20ft x 1+", about 180+ years old in the barn attic. Most in really good shape, no big cracks.Table top finely done. Now got to put leg's on it.Any idea's for leg's that will look good. That's the hard part for me. Dixie
Nice. I would put that on the wall or make a table with some of it.Some folk's around here will buy your old home place just for the beam's and wood seem's to be the in thing. But a wall would look great with that wood on it and some old time stuff on it. No idea what to even do with them. They were just surplus from when the barn was moved there, or for hay storage maybe.
That's worth big, BIG bucks to the right person. You can not even buy boards like that anymore....24" wide x 20'. WOW....They are from huge old growth trees. Sweet!!I've got ~10 planks of white pine, 2ft x 20ft x 1+", about 180+ years old in the barn attic. Most in really good shape, no big cracks.

Is that in Virginia? It reminds me or Norfolk. Would be a great place to live right on the water!!Another place along the same estuary, old mill was turned into nice apartments.
Salt water below the falls, probably 16 miles to the ocean.
I used to do repair jobs here when it was abandoned.
Wharf rats and raccoons used to occupy the basement walkway at high tide.

That sure beats the heck out of a head gasket!! Congrats on that find!!I found the source of a leak in the cooling system of my wife's car- it's a little crack in the thermostat housing
It's a piece of plastic that should be metal
If I designed things, they'd be much better and more expensive
