What did you accomplish today?

I thought about buying a meat slicer years ago, but never did. That's an excellent idea now that deli meat is outrageously priced!

I've got ~10 planks of white pine, 2ft x 20ft x 1+", about 180+ years old in the barn attic. Most in really good shape, no big cracks.
No idea what to even do with them. They were just surplus from when the barn was moved there, or for hay storage maybe.

Nice. I would put that on the wall or make a table with some of it.Some folk's around here will buy your old home place just for the beam's and wood seem's to be the in thing.But a wall would look great with that wood on it and some old time stuff on it. Dixie

That's worth big, BIG bucks to the right person. You can not even buy boards like that anymore....24" wide x 20'. WOW....They are from huge old growth trees. Sweet!!
 
Another place along the same estuary, old mill was turned into nice apartments.
Salt water below the falls, probably 16 miles to the ocean.

I used to do repair jobs here when it was abandoned.
Wharf rats and raccoons used to occupy the basement walkway at high tide. :shock:

Is that in Virginia? It reminds me or Norfolk. Would be a great place to live right on the water!!
