Lookin really good so far...
Is that some Sunny D nutes I see???

Thanks @Justlove growing

Another week done. I gave them a heavy defoliation last Thursday. By Saturday you couldn't even tell I had done anything. I'm trying my best to avoid getting the larf layer that I've gotten in previous grows. The two on the ends really don't like scrogging and it's a struggle to not break the stems. I'm only going to clone the large on in the center, it would take a few months to fill the screen out with the other two.

@DustyDuke what do you think? Should I start flowering now?

Holy cow. Talk about recovery! That was literally three nights?? I will not be afraid to defoliate anymore!

I flipped my lights to 12/12 last night.

It would be nice if the little ones doubled and the middle one just stretched a bit. I don't think that's going to be the case tho.
I remember you mentioning clones if it’s all WC. I’d clone all 3 but If the middle one flowers awesome I’d just run the middle plants clones the next grow everything will be even. Main reason why I run clones just makes life eazy

Saves on acouple weeks of of veg too

One thing I really do like about scrog is it helps with this issue for sure.
If I didn't have my net, I probably would have that same issue with one being 6' tall and another 3'
I'm sure there will still be a big difference after flower stretch, I am only training through the first few days
Should be flipping thursday
Do you have a grow journal going?

I'm still a newbie... I'd be cautious following me lol.

This is what they look like this morning, you can barely tell they were defoliated so heavily. In my experience they stop for a day after a heavy defoliation, then they explode. YMMV

We're restricted to a maximum of four plants here :( I have to make a call on which one I want to keep before flowering them out.

Not quite a journal because I haven't kept up at all lol
My first 4 plants were all funky, then I foolishly gave them some clonex solution thinking it would boost root growth. Killed them lol
Second run in my new hydro set up I have got down now. Had all kinds of deficiency at first but was running nutes too low.
I am going to try and keep things better updated

I try to do any defoliating I need to do in veg, try to avoid stress on the plant in flower.
I do defoliate though twice, all at once. Again, this is to try and minimize stress too. Around Day 22 flower and 42 flower i pretty much strip all the large, fully matured fan leafs. This opens everything up perfectly for me
I also am in rdwc so I run just straight water and UC root (stanatize and descaler) for 24 hours after I defoliate. Gives the plants a nice rest and cleans the system and roots well

I’m restricted to no plants lol. But less then 10 your not getting in to much trouble still classed as a personal amount.
I would go with the middle plant

Your scrog looks great! For my first couple grows I treated every leaf like it was precious. I started defoliating on my last successful grow but not to the level that I've done this time. Even with defoliating I ended up with a ton of larfy popcorn buds at the screen level. I'm trying to avoid having that issue again.

Here's a pic of all the larf.

Last night it was ready for a tucking. You could barely tell that they were defoliated a week prior.

Thank you! I am glad its turning out well. Hopefully get a killer yield and some great product.
I may have got alittle carried away today on my de-leafing but I haven't switched to flower yet even so I'm sure they will be in full bush mode again within a week.
How far into flower do you plan to keep tucking?

I was just sayng from my experience ( which isn’t much) wedding cake doesn’t seem to stretch like other strains.
For me Wedding Cake stretches quite a bit, but it doesn't stretch as fast as some other strains, however it stretches for a longer time. When I grow Slurricane and Wedding Cake side by side, the Slurricane shoots way past the Wedding cake, but then stops stretching around 20 days into flower, but the Cake will keep stretching for another week or so, as it catches up. By that point, both strains are the same height.

Good to know and makes sense. My wedding cake was outdoors on a short season and my buddy does aquick veg and flower because he runs out of room in the veg room.

So far I've been going about two weeks into flower when I stop tucking. On my last grow with the critical 2.0 it barely stretched and stopped after about a week. It would have been a beautiful plant if I could have gotten it over the finish line.

Here they are this morning.

Just starting to see signs of flower. IMG_0060.JPG

I just keep cutting the plants back in veg when they start to get too big. Helps build big root mass while keeping the plant small.
Think there's any chance of the two small ones filling out more? They've picked up the pace a lot since switching to flower.

I'm one week in now. The two on the ends have always been really slow growers with super tight nodes. This is a pic of one of the shorter ones. You can see how tight everything is compared to the middle one above.

I'm going to also have to take a clone or two soon
What is your plan to harbor those plants untill your flowering room opens back up?

I'm thinking I will need to take a clone, keep it small as a mother, then take some clones off that 2-3 weeks before my harvest.
I'm not sure what else could be done during 10+weeks of flower

Funny you should ask. I finished setting up my clone area yesterday. Don't laugh, I know it's ugly. I bought a small 100W led but I think it's way overkill lol. I was planning on running a mother plant but after listening to @curious2garden I think it makes more sense to run the clones and skip the mother plant altogether. I have a small dwc tote that I'll move them to once they're done in the cloner.

Wedding Cake is a late stretcher. For me it stretches a lot between week 2 and 3.
did you notice much stretch in the first week? I was surprised how little I've gotten so far.
