i find this hard to efin believe, "felt unwell after a walk"......... bunch of cow plop....

meanwhile Russia is trying to blame us and europe over his death:

Russia and Putin mafia killed him........
I'd conclude that Putin now feeling chipper made the call to take care of business,I'm surprised Navalny lived as long as he did upon his return to Russia. Putin is ruthless and while Navalny showed incredible bravery and guile he NEVER should have returned to Russia and could have been a thorn in Putin's side as a dissident and anti-Putin mouth piece.

i've always disliked Putin, from the first off, he's a sneaky little pest, and he's a killer prior to this. Now him and the government of Russia are killers. Navalny was gonna to expose him and his mafia and maybe just maybe give Russia a chance to move forward not to move back like of where they are now, but because of Putin....that's a no. I remember when Navalny went back, but i can't remember why went back, cause he knew he was gonna be mark, and why didn't Germany stop him after he first recovered, why didn't Europe stop him from going back. They all knew he was marked and he's was gonna be silenced cause of his stance.

It's almost like the current challenger now, he's already been banned from running for president in Russia, why? Cause he knows that the War with Ukraine wasn't supposed to happen, and he's tired of it now and want to negotiate maybe even pull out of Ukraine....

Putin is just a murderous thug now. Just like Kim with that American, and Xi with the Uyghurs

Navalny RIP may your maker open the gates and bless you as you walk in

"Everything in our way should be carefully but decisively removed through deportation" - Navalny, dressed as a dentist, comparing immigrants to dental cavities.

"Beginning in the late 2000s, Navalny used racial slurs when describing ethnic Georgians, called for the deportation of Muslim migrant workers and delivered speeches at Russian Marches, annual rallies of far-right nationalists, white supremacists and neo-Nazis."

Sure, brave move to go back and go against Putin. May he rot in hell nonetheless.

He certainly benefitted from "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". While I admire that he did speak truth to power knowing it was going to end his life, he had some abhorrent views that have been not so hidden in plain sight for a long time. It's only just to acknowledge both.

If only a moderate form of govt. could have taken hold in Russia post cold war things could be so much different now in the world geo-politically.When the Russian steamroller rolled east in WW2 dreams of empire w/Stalin embedded in the Russian psyche and Putin maintains that thought.Russia is vast on it's own and all those country's overrun by the Red Army do not belong to them.Russia has many resources in it's vastness and much potential without concerning itself w/conquering land.It is only backward due to it's corruption and has many intelligent/talented people in it's population, when will sanity prevail?,hopefully(and it's admittedly a leap of faith) after Putin's demise.

I think that outcome was doomed from the start. The USSR had its own shadow government, a deep state perhaps, composed of the corrupt bosses (oligarchs) of the various state industrial and logistical organizations.

Once the official Communist regime fell, they were in place and much too powerful to be unseated by a voter-controlled government. Such a government was not in the interests of the oligarchs.

We can see how their apparat lent itself ideally to fascist consolidation.

The Russian example shows plainly why we need to break our own oligarch incubators e. g. the Federalist Society, the Heritage Foundation and the distinctly freedom-averse Freedom Caucus — at the polls. The alternative is the restructuring of our nation and society along the Vladolf autocracy lines, quite possibly with a theocratic element draconian enough to make a mullah blush. All while today’s billionaires strip the rest of us of our welfare and become trillionaires (and the nucleus of a hereditary overclass) in the process.

I certainly can't argue w/any of that and it has me at maximum altitude intellectually, and it's safe to say the gap between have/havenots has increased exponentially w/the passage of time and availlability of goods/services/technologies. I often wonder who/what I'd be as a human being if wealth/influence/power over many were in my hands.Seems to me that every feel good, give back heartwarming eg. of philanthropy is countered tenfold at least by the can't have enough, mine mine mine, tax evading, money sheltering,LLC shell co.,obtuse, good life living country clubbers.Who eagerly invest in influence to keep it that way.

The greed you describe offered us an evolutionary advantage when we were nomads competing for limited resources. “Too much is never enough” is bred into us, and we have had too short a time as people in houses, farms, cities … to adapt.

Decency requires a sustained effort to deny instinct. Very few get to billionaire status by being decent.

Greed is highly visible and pronounced where I'm at 50mi S of Boston in the real estate market,a rail system linking to Boston has wreaked havoc on rental market (I have a home).Rents have astronomically risen as out of towners scoop up properties and charge super high rents around here.About 7 yrs ago I rode w/a dude to work who owned a 2 and a 4 fam homes. He was getting $6-700 dollars a mth.Now rents here are $11-1300 for a 1 br. apt and 1500 or more for a 2 br. and this is a poor city, many w/housing vouchers, govt. aid. There are also non stop people wanting zoning variances to sub divide lots to build homes. These lots are sometimes 3500 sq. ft. 50by70. and I watched neighbors show up to debate a dudes plan to build 2 homes on a lot where a single home had been torn down,he got denied,he was a guy looking to stuff his pockets and the neighborhood be damned,he doesn't live there. It's a shit show,I get ENDLESS amts. of mail from cos.looking to buy my house,I've got a corner lot that I could sub-divide the lot for another home and 10yrs ago it was worth 100K prob could get 150k today for 6500 sq. feet. It's pretty fk'd up when you drive in a hood and see older homes w/good size yards and then all of a sudden you see 3 new homes on postage stamp lots. I used to say "well it will increase the city's tax base and give some relief,YEAH Right,I'm paying 3 times the tax than 20 yrs. ago. Same thing w/FKN weed stores, way to many licenses granted, all over the place, greed, once a golden goose is perceived no one knows when to stop.

That's pretty ballsy of Denmark. Little country like that willing to hand over all it's gear should shame the repubs into getting arms to UA but they have no shame any more since selling their collective souls to the Orange Jesus they all now consider their lord and saviour.

The US needs to add an amendment to prevent anyone under criminal charges from running for any office until the case(s) are resolved in the courts. tRump has opened all sorts of unique scenarios the founders probably never thought would have to be dealt with.

I'm starting to think the best case would be that pootin does attack a NATO country so everybody can dogpile on the f'er and finish off that war in days instead of it dragging on for who knows how much longer. I bet they have enough conventional weapons already zeroed in on every military target in russia that plenty will get through any air defences set up to protect them. Half the defences have probably been pulled out for use on the front and half of what's left probably won't work when needed anyways.

The other day on PBS they had something about the losses in the UA and pegged it at 380,000 killed or wounded since the war started. That's basically the same as russia's losses if it's true and PBS isn't wont to pull numbers out if thin air. If that's correct it's no wonder they are having trouble getting enough men for the fight.

:peace:

Meanwhile, in more positive news to alleviate the ammo famine, the Czech Republic says it could supply 800,000 shells to the Ukrainian military.

Sorry about that, thought most could have the X link open for them, the link sometimes shows up for me, sometimes it opens the link. No idea why.
