Cuts went in on 19 so only 10 days so they may root yet.

They are sucking up the water , got to come up with a better way to water

Cuttings. I flipped the flower cab back on Monday. They were in veg for 2 weeks prior to that

Oh as for sucking up the water I meant the flower cab. I guess turning on the second half of the light did it.

Found a small light leak between sides. Need to get caulking too

Are you still trying to water from below? Is there a problem with soaking the top and letting it overwater, then letting them retrieve the overwater as needed?

It would be easier to water the bottom up. I was trying to put fertilizer water around the stems without getting it all over the low leaves. Going to get some pvc and fittings tomorrow

Oh and I have no way to empty the water out. It sits at floor level and perlite would clog a hose small enough to go down in there

What I am saying is that the excess in the bottom, after watering doesn't need to be emptied. It will wick back up into the medium as it dries out, thus compensating the limited depth and water retention capacity of your bed. The transport mechanics of your set up won't let it sit and get stale. The lowers will tend to hang in the juice, you can try tucking them while you feed. Those will be the first to get consumed by the plants and fall off anyhow so don't get too attached. lol forgive the pun
It's interesting how your treating it more like a flood and drain minus the drain. The first set up like this I made I actually used air and diffusers in the pearlite and kept it going like a lower res. Kind of a hybrid semi. I have recently seen a company making the same set up in a pre-packed unit too.
Meh, it's apples and oranges. Your doing great and I certainly see no harm in your process!

I've recently seen someone but air defusers into dirt.

I flooded it that first time but it held on to the water for so long I was afraid of drowning them. I've just been top watering them since.

That's how they looked Monday when I flipped, even harder to get under them to water now.

Looks like RIU changed how they do photo uploads. I couldn't select more than one at a time with insert image. The uploader under attachments looks different too. Plus in the attachments window the floating support button is in the way of the ok and cancel buttons

Nice!
When you first put them in the roots hadn't yet stretched out any so of course it will retain water longer, it won't be long that they are sucking it down like no tomorrow.
Looking good man!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Voidling again.

Looking really good and healthy... only thing you may wanna watch for is the early yellowing they are still a fairly light shade of green

I'm thinking of running 1/3 tablespoon maxi grow and 2/3 tablespoon maxi bloom per gallon for week 2 flower, maybe week three, the lower the maxi grow some more. By three end of week 5 I'll be maxi bloom only. Might have to hit them with koolbloom before then to stop stretch

Thanks Colo. It tells me the same thing about you

Last two times I've watered the soil was completely dry about an inch and half down.

I meant teaspoons not tablespoons.

Update pics tomorrow

Whenever I click on My RIU it tells me I'm not signed in. I sign in and it still doesn't let me in. Odd.

So this is starting week two of flower cycle

RIU has screwed up the attachment upload window more. Couldn't upload from there.

It looks more impressive in person than the pics. Oh well
