an LB with a 600w hps is piss easy to obtain and anyone who says you can't do it is wrong, and misleading you with bro science.
Hello, fellow botanists. Just wanted to share my experiences, as I have seen an astounding amount of "bro science" "soil is better" "can't get a pound off a 600w" posts since I joined this forum so I thought I'd speak my mind and experience.
I have a total of 3 grows under my belt, this being my 3rd.
Results of first grow: 12.9 oz of dogshit weed due to a hermie, 600w hps, 4x4 tent, 4 plants from seed, unknown genetics.
Results of 2nd grow: 20.9 oz of good weed, pulled a little early. 4 clones topped and fimmed, unknown genetics, vegged for 4 weeks then tied up with a million pieces of damn twine because they couldn't hold themselves up. Satisfactory yet frustrating.
3rd grow: 2 weeks off finishing roughly, 3 plants, from seed, 2x barneys farms ak47 x sour deisel, 1xwhite widow x og kush. 5 weeks of veg, the single plant in the 4x4 with 600w hps topped, fimmed and trained through a scrog net, but without too aggressive training. The second tent they were also trained but I let them grow 4 main colas each before I chucked a net in, and they grew through quite violently so some of them are sideways.
1st tent: 4x4, 600w hps
Single AK X sour deisel
Lst, topped and fimmed, scrog net for height control, not a true scrog
15 main colas, all a foot long
Lots of secondaries, approx 20cm long, some 10cm long, literal jungle
2nd tent: 3x3, 600w hps, 1x AK, 1 x White widow
scrog net chucked in as an afterthought, 6 main colas per plant, lots of smaller buds but not larf.
Large heavy colas, widow is disturbingly sticky.
Air temp going in 20c coming out 21c
both tents scrub cut the bottom 3rd of plants after flower transition.
Medium: canna coco coir
Pot size: 20l
Nutrients: green planet 2 step, massive bloom, rezin, plant guard, liquid weight, stop massive at week 6 of flower and give them professors nutrients bulk boost, 0-54-32. 5 day flush and stem cut before harvest.
5l consumption of water per day, per tent
These are my current results, just thought I'd share them as the widow is quite nice and the ak is still pumping, I think I did well with it.
Anyone who says you can't get over a pound from a 600w hps simply can't grow/has mitigating environmental factors/thinks soil is better (outdoors you'd be alright)
If i dont get over a pound off the tiva in the 4x4, ill eat my hat.
Feed your green kids and look after them.
Feedback would be great, as an amateur grower I have grown what I consider some quite impressive plants for a novice, I'm aware I didn't truly scrog them, next time will be proper scrog.
