So I've made a move before I got to use the little cab I was making. I really hate the panda film but will be using it again.

Once the film goes on it'll be about 27" x 20.5" inside footprint and 30" tall.

I currently have 7 x vero 10 with 300mA drivers for each. Would need bigger heat sinks to run any harder, probably need bigger ones anyway.

I have two cxa3070 with 1500mA drivers on arctic alpine 11 plus heatsink.

I thought the space was smaller and was just going to use it for seeds, clones, mothers. But thinking I'll try flowering in it as I want to reduce veg time for pheno hunting and small seed batch.

So now I'm debating on what to do for my lights. I'm hoping to use as much of what I have as I can as they're going to waste in a box right now.

I'm looking into heat sink options as well. My 2" wide profile seems too skinny for putting a fan on to

Panoramic fail. Ha.

Put a couple of seeds on paper towels for germination. Couple years old so fingers crossed.

4 Rosenthal's Super Bud x Blue Dream
4 Purple kush a Sweet Afghani Delight

For flower I may put all the vero in and use my cfl rig for the mothers / clones / veg for the time. Being that there's very little insulation and it's getting to be cooler weather there's no worry about the heat at night. But it was mid 90's here today.

So threw two of the vero together for seedlings. I can put one more on each end or remake it if need be. Was just cut offs from making the cab.

When making the cab I mathed wrong and my sides didn't fit so they're left off. Good thing as I needed the flex to get it into location

Edit: 25.4 mm = 1"

Lots of 50mm fans out there for cheap! Just run 1 per heatsink and see how it does.. 12v and 5v :peace:

Edit:.....25.4mm = 1"

I'll have to look again. The ones I saw we're just as much as bigger ones.

I wonder if I could run 14 watt with a fan. Though they're fairly warm to touch as is

I'm seeing ~$8 each. Is it so much better to put a fan on each vs lot of airflow around the cab?

Bonjour
I saw 80mm cpu cooler for 3/4 $ on Aliexpress...must be good enough for V10/13 @350/500mA!?
Do you agree?
Have a great day ★

Possibly but if you're relying on a fan to keep your led from burning up, I'd want to go with a brand that has a proven track record.

Arctic has at least two 80mm for under $8. That's the brand heat sink with fan many people were using with success.

It's also the rain I hate to buy a tiny fan when I could get a big fan at the same price

Thanks. That's the kind of think I was wondering about seeing up to blow air horizontally over the lights at the top of the cab

I was waiting until after passing my bills to buy some cree 2530. They went up a little since Saturday so bah.

They were 10w with the driver I'm getting 7w with on the vero 10 if I did math right.

I can buy two vero 10 for $0.90 more, plus $2.05 for a second driver. So extra 4w for $3 more. I'm not sure if it's worth it but does let me spread the light out more

Bonjour!
It is depend...what kind of seeds...old one...new one? How did you rehydrate the seeds? When?
I put my new (not the old one...more than 2/3 years) seed in a glass of water for 12h or until the seed is at the bottom of the glass...than in paper towel betwin 2 plates until I have a long enough root than in soil!
If I am sure of the seeds or the breederI just ssoakit in a glass and plant it in soil directly!
Have a great day ★

Older seeds. Soaked in water maybe 24 hours. Then into damp paper towels inside a glass container with lid. It's on a heating pad set to 78

None have so much as cracked

Bonjour
Did you really waited 4 weeks!?
After a week I do not wait anymore...but maybe I am wrong!
Is anyone saw seeds pop after more than a week?
Have a nice day!
I only wait a week at the most as well...most seeds crack open within 24-72 hours for me, it seems.

They're old seeds so I'll give them a little longer. It's been 2 weeks now I guess

I'm also wondering if the glass container is building up too much heat

Its not that I waited on purpose for 4 weeks....I just pop arond 20-30 seedlings at a time and some take longer than others...I just thought this was a given....that some take longer than others.....

If it does go around 3-4 weeks, I actually just pop it into soil and actually I do all soil now, no more paper towels or water starts at all..and I am up to nearly 100%... [even though, I realize @Voidling, that you are running hydro..and soil doesn't exactly matter!]

I have had many many seeds that take longer than just a few days....I guess I am the only unusual one...but I am guessing that someone who pops hundreds of beans a year, has the same thing happenin?? :)

Last night I listened to an interview of Mr Soul from Brothers Grimm....he was being interviewed by the AD show, and he talked about using both GBA and Hydrogen Peroxide treatments, for trouble free as possible seed starting...:peace:
