Try PM'ing the person you want to talk to that usually works faster!Well, I've waited like 10 days for a response now. Does ANYONE have some sound info for me about my question ^
Hey subcool, this is a great thread with some awesome info. I got a question for you though. I plan on using CFL's inside a cabinet around 78"H x 48"W x 24"D. I will have a 4" Vortex Inline Fan run to a small section of 4 inch piping that will be connected to the Can Carbon Filter. This set up will exhaust straight through the carbon filter into the room. I will also have a type of Hepa filter/air cleaner inside the cab. So, my question is... How or what will I use to bring clean air into the cab and how would I set it up?
I am in a 8ft high by 6ft wide by 2.5 ft deep room with a 4'' dryer exhaust hole in wall going to outside. I have a 600 watt digital lumatek ballast with an aluminum wing reflector (no cooltube) i tried to go cheap on the exhaust and its not doing the job. I have a 50 cfm bathroom exhaust fan pulling hot air from the room and exhausting out the dryer vent hole to the outside. no filter or scrubber.
I have a 4" hole with dryer vent to block light from entering as my passive intake mounted at the lower lefto over cover, adjacent the exhaust fan so the air must cross the entire room (air being pulled into room is approx. 70 degrees). i have several fans circulating air within the room. But with this my temps still get up to 90 degrees with the light only on for an hour and a half an exhaust going constant. I am thinking of using a 435 cfm centrifugal inline fan to exhaust air outside. Do you think doing this will cool the room enough? Or will i have to cootube the light with cold air from attic and exuast it through same hole? will running so much air through this room (120 cubic feet) be to much? I plan to grow six plants, will the odor be to extreme outside( the vent going outside is two stores up 35 yards from side walk) as im not currently using any filters?

Can you clean up the query and ask a few direct questions possibly your all over the place
You will need a filter yes you will also need the 465 is nig enough but it will need adequate intake in order not to starve for air.

Its best to bring in air from very low so that its cooler air. Typically in a large set up we pull the cool air from outdoors using 8" or 2-6" pipes.
I have no experience with cabs thats why I didnt respond but the answer is any cool fresh air source and id use a small pice of 6" flex to prevent light pollution paint the inside of the flex black

sorry i just wanted to make sure you could understand my setup. U pretty much answered all my questions from my last post. But i have another. What size and type of filter would you recommend for my setup with 6 plants? (assuming im using the 435 cfm inline fan exhausting through my 4" dryer vent hole)
A Big one!
Like 600 CFM capacity
I also would like to know how to set up a good filter for intake. I don't have the fume/vapor requirement, just spores and dust from outside. Is there a Hepa filter available That I can use for my air intake that...
Subcool, I would like to start off by saying that I am very impressed with your seeds so far! I am currently growing agent orange, deep purple, and jillybean. I also have dairy queen, querkle, and pandoras box but only received them as freebies so only 2 seeds of eachcan't wait to try them!!! Keep up the amazing work. I am a new caregiver and am upgrading my grow to a new location that I can fit more plants. I would really appreciate your help with it
and I was also wondering do you offer free seeds or something along those lines to caregivers to try out your strains? that would be awesome

but anyways to my questions for you
I am upgrading my medical grow and have some questions on my new design.
I am planning on having 3 rows with each row having 9 1000w XXXL air cooled reflectors. each row will be 4ft wide and 36ft long. There will be a space of 3ft between each row so that the plants are each to access. I live in the north west USA so during the summers it can get up to 100 and the winters get down below zero at times. I am planning on having the intake for my lights to be pulling air from the crawl space and exhausting it outside or back into the house during the winter to help with heating. Im sure that pulling air from the crawl space (which is 4ft tall with 1360 square feet) I will need to have an intake fan for the crawl space/basement to help create a positive pressure. I will also be pulling air across the lights compared to pushing it since it is more efficient.
My Questions:
How many reflectors can I hook up in a row? I can't imagine I could hook up all 9 in a row with each flowing into each other cause after the 2nd or 3rd light wouldn't the air be so hot it wouldn't be cooling the lights?
What size fan will I need to use to cool the lights? I've read that I should have around 250-350cfm per light but is that right?
