Nice one footer you have there. Be careful with that slide, they are pretty fragile... me and my buddy both broke oursIf only my mother-in-law knew what I spent my Christmas money on. My first glass bong!
I know I vape a lot but sometimes there's nothing better than a big old hit. It's nice how it holds two ice cubes in the smoke chamber.

The bowl is pretty fragile too!Actually I've never seen a bowl like this with the chamber inside the bowl. The smoke is drawn into the bowl chamber before being drawn down the slide. I get so tripped out watching the little bowl chamber I forget how full the ice chamber gets and then I pull it and POW!! Very Cool!
I think Stelthy will enjoy this! Now that the plants are up higher the spigots become functional!!!! And Me Likey!!
I use a small funnel and hook it to some vinyl tubing and then I can drain out 4L of water in about 45 seconds!
I've also taken to the practice of testing a water sample drawn off through the spigot and then tested in the glass measuring cup. I also take out a full 4L so I can adjust pH much easier and then pour it back into the tank.

Because of the nute burn I wanted to back down on the PPM's a bit. I drew off 2L of water from each tank. I then replaced it with Chloramine treated 5.8 pH water. This brought PPM's from 1340 down to 1100. 1100 - 430 = 670 PPM adjusted for my tap water.
If I continue to see tips burning I'll drain off another 1L and do the same replacement. This is still much more than I've ever fed any of my plants before (based on the "Recipe for Success") by using the label on the bottle. The burn doesn't look too tragic compared to what I've seen before and it does seem to tell me there is uptake...they are drinking!!!

I've been pouring this leftover water all around my outdoor plants. Won't they be surprised when they "wake up" a bit. The Xmas tree still loves this and is drinking 1 gallon per day!
If I continue to see tips burning I'll drain off another 1L and do the same replacement. h, and how do you like your vaporgenie? i seen it, cant remember the name right off, and thought it was nice, but doubted the effectiveness having to draw manually and use a lighter for heat. i like the other pocket unit, the magic flight, but having to always have a battery may be a pain too. such an expensive buy too!!!

I don't remember exactly where I bought this online. But it works great and is completely water-proof! I just throw it in the tank and let it float. Make sure you get calibration solution too! Click the link below.

Oh and I just love my Vapor Genie. I don't use the plastic tip because it's too restrictive for air flow so I just pull that out and draw from the end of the wood. The ceramic stone in the round part does a great job of providing even heat. It just a matter of getting the feel of how much heat to give to vaporize without igniting. Using a candle-flame lighter is much easier to control and provide even heat as I've nearly fried my finger tips off with my torch lighter. Hold the flame horizontally across the top of the bowl and draw the flame in with your inhale taking care to not let the flame hit the stone. Then use your tongue as the temp sensor and just before the air get's too hot just back the flame away and as it cools draw it in closer. The THC vapor will tickle the back of your throat without the feel of heat which tells you you are getting a nice stoney hit! 
The bad part is if you don't pay attention and your weed is particularly dry, you can accidentally ignite the weed which gives you a pretty harsh nasty hit and it's pretty hot! It's just telling you that you fucked up!

Thanks guys! I'm thinking so too. I've been applying much more personal restraint these days and looking to only make small adjustments.
I've hooked up the exhaust fans as well as the cool-tube fan to a fan controller so I can easily adjust the rate of flow and get the air temp up to 74*.
Water temps are at 61* which may still be a bit cool causing the roots not to produce as fast even though the plants are showing new growth. I found that if I pull off 4 liters of water out of the tank (during water adjustments) and then take .5L in a glass measuring cup and heating it in the microwave before pouring it back into the 4L jug and then putting that back in the the tank. That raises the temps up to 65*. I also dropped the nutes to 1000 (from 1100) by replacing out 1L of water with tap water. I'm going to wait 4 hours and see if I can't raise the temps up a bit more.
Another interesting thing I've been doing while draining the tanks out is I've been pouring the water back through the netpot. In a hydro setup, the only real way to over-water a plant is to deprive it of oxygen. Since the 7L of water in the tank is highly oxygenated, by taking out 4L and pouring it through the netpot will help flush away older oxygen depleted water with oxygen rich water. I've been doing this for the past 3 days and no more signs of over-watering. Once the roots (which are coming slowly) hit the water I should be able to stop doing this.
So not only are they growing again, they are starting to stand up straight so it's back under the screen for some more LST. Here's some pics of them out of the cabinet. I also switched up their positions a bit too.

Actually this is similar to what the guy is doing in that DWC tutorial I've been reading. He would pump water right up to the rockwool cube (as a slow drip) until he finally has to remove the pump due to so much root mass.do you have a water pump and timer? sounds like RDWC maybe spinning in your headwait till there better if you do get any ideas!
I'm sort of doing it manually!

I think it is fairly common for DWC setups to utilize water drips until the roots make it out of the net pots.

yep, looks like its working for you to. i guess it would help anyone to pour some rez water through their tanks every now and so often. i will have to try on the tomatoe plants and see 
i have actually been researching that lately. i would love to be able to rig up a gravity system, like the auto pot, but drip from the top and small hempy type rez in the bottom. need to find a flat container that seals well and holds a couple gallons (rez to fit under bed!!!). that is the mission!!

Another day and they look stronger and they are producing new growth all over the nodes. Also note that Skywalker #2 and #3 have a really nice main stem coming from the bottom node and they are starting to produce more leaves.
So I'm starting to consider topping all but Skywalker #1. What do guys think?
I need to bring the plants out of the cab so I can get some better close ups without the HID lamp affecting the shot.

When I was peaking in on the roots I discovered what appeared to be brown slime everywhere! How the hell can I get slimed in 61*, pitch black, H2O2 treated water?
Turns out with my little flushing routine I'm bringing out more hydroton dust into the tank. I did no less than 20 flushing of this stuff and I'm still getting dust!
Turns out my water is just fine. All the dust on the sides were just splashed up and everything else was settled on the bottom. All I did was drain the tank into a freshly cleaned tank leaving the last inch of water.
I've got some big plans for the day including Gumball's idea of redirecting the heat from the lamp back into the cab. I want my water temps to get up to 68* to create a more friendly environment for root development. Root development is slowly occurring. It's literally like the roots are refusing to stick their big toes in the water!!

a similar thing happened to me recently. i mixed some molasses into my vegetable rez recently, i thought hydro could use molasses too
wel i dont check the rez for the mators often, so about 2 days later i checked it and the hole rez was fucking frothy and the root mass was nothing but a fucking slimy mucky mess. i pulled about 60% of the roots off, and clipped a bunch of vegetation, and it has recovered well finally!! my wife and daughter laughed at me. thats usually what they do when i goof up!!! no respect, no respect
