Vanilla flavored

You can get strains that have vanilla flavour smell in their genes. (google terpens in cannabis for more info) But adding vanilla extract to your watering will have absolutely no effect in flavour and smell of the final product. The only thing it can cause is a nutrient lock out in the soil and fuck up your plants altogether!

Not that I'm gonna try it or anything but would adding food coloring actually work? Add blue 1 week, red the next, and purple after that? Tie dye buds lol.

It depends on what precisely is in the food coloring you're using. There are some things inside that could fuck with your chemicals. If you were going to try it, only try it with hydro.

If I were to experiment, I'd use an isolated DWC setup, that way I wouldn't fuck over my op.

No. it won't work. bad idea . If you want your plant to turn purple then grow a purple strain. like mendo purps or grand daddy purple. The only nutrient I know of that people say works for turning plants purple is the purple maxx snow storm. But still it only works on about 1/3 of the strains tested. However I can vouch it is a great product, it really gets the trichomes big and cloudy

Bottom line, none of this shit really works and chances are you are going to fuck up your plants altogether. You want purple bud get a proper purple strain. You want a specific taste/smell? Get a strain that has terpens governing those specific properties you want. Don't add any shit to your water, it will lock out nutrients and kill your plants and even if it doesnt kill them your yield will be minimal, your potency will be affected as well and you won't have achieved any flavoring or coloring any way... If you do a search in any cannabis forum you will be amazed by how many times this has been brought up and how many people have tried those remedies. The result has always been the same. 100% failure...
