so even if your handpicked cherries are accurate, you are presenting something that might apply to maybe a third of adults as all the prevention we need.
ok.

No, my question was if we could help over 100 million US citizens by simply sending out vitamin D supplements to all, why wasn't that done, assuming that prevention was the key.

There was no if about it; you asserted that it is effective as a general prophylactic.

Yes, it's true there is a very simple and safe way to prevent covid, and it's what Fauci said the was doing for himself early on in the pandemic, way before a covid-jab was available. It's simple and effective vitamin D. Why didn't they send vitamin supplements out to all Americans, if prevention was really the key?

It stands to reason that if having a vitamin D deficiency is a key factor in covid infection, then that deficiency group would subsequently be one of the most affected populations, and as such it would generally be an effective proactive preventative treatment, especially in comparison to the relatively ineffective covid-jab.

It's pretty difficult to OD on vitamin D with standard doses, and side effects with such doses are virtually zero.

The effectiveness would need to be established in clinical trials. Those trials generally say no.

That's an inaccurate assessment of what the article concludes. More accurately:

"Summing up the data, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) concludes that there is “insufficient evidence” to recommend for or against vitamin D for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19.

But this isn’t the final word. Two U.S. clinical trials are due to wrap up soon. The VIVID trial run by researchers at Harvard and elsewhere is testing in 2,024 subjects whether vitamin D supplementation can reduce the severity of COVID-19 infections. Note that this is four times as many subjects as even the largest of the existing treatment trials. And researchers at the University of Chicago and Rush University Medical Center are testing in 2,000 subjects whether vitamin D can prevent COVID-19 infections. Stay tuned. "

So let’s review who’s pushing what:

“Made up virus”, nope it’s real.

“Vaccine causes many side effects”, no, it
may cause a very small number of side effects.

“Useless vaccine”, nope saved many lives.

“Goverment cover-up”, still not sure why :wall:

“No one dies from Covid”, ya the millions of dead people would disagree.

“Same as common cold”, for some sure.

“Vitamin D prevents Covid”, nope but certainly “may” be a big help. (I take it).

There are lots more, but seriously, when these things are discussed it’s hard to take the narrative seriously. Perhaps adding “possibly to a few of these statements might make it a bit more plausible. I get the concerns and think it’s a personal choice but the discussion should be based on fact and not feels.

Don’t forget “experimental vaccine”. As of two months ago,

Who exactly is and has been dying from covid anyway? It's people over 50. Less than 10% of the deaths have been people under 50, yet the vaccine was mandated by the government, institutions and employers without regard to age.
