What a dumb post. Your big government is the reason the Middle class is being destroyed. Remember the affordable housing for people who can't save and make timely payments? That was going to help the lower and middle class gain equity and live the American dream of owning a house. Look what happened. The very same ones your big government manipulators said they would help had their equity wiped out.

I've been in several unions. They're all pretty much the same. If you kiss ass and agree with the local bosses, you are protected. I've seen some unbelievable things in union workplaces. The last union I was in had not one but two ex presidents in jail for stealing and a third under investigation.
Considering it's probably less than $100, it shouldn't be that hard to figure out!

I was in the tyeamsters when Ron Carey got thrown off the election (and by extension his entire "slate" of croneys and goons was also disqualified) leaving Jimmy Hoffa Junior as the only candidate remaining

Ron Carey's crime? direct ties to a criminal enterprise, Illegal fundraising, siphoning off union money to an outside organization, strongarming companies with threats of strikes and pickets if they didnt donate to his chosen "charity" in sufficient quantitiy and campaign finance violations.
this all stems from a program to transfer union "soft" money (the shit lefties say is poisonous to elections and should be banned) to the democratic national committee for the election of Al Gore.
you see, when unions "donate" to a political campaign they can spend their entire bank account, aas they have no responsibilities, no accountability and no obligations, while a corporation has stockholders, SEC investigators, the health of the company, Cash flow for operations and overhead, inventory, shipping and receiving, R&D, taxes and their worker's payroll and pensions to consider. unions have only their agenda to worry about.

I made it clear that I was grateful for the good job and benefits I received. I never ever minded paying the 2 hours of pay per month for union dues. The candidates for the upper offices were chosen by the upper management of the union. We really didn't have any say to speak of.

I would rather have unions even mafia infested. At least dealing with the mafia you get a fair shake. My bookie always pays on time, and has always been fair. IF paying extortion at least you get a reduction in competition or some other benefit. The government extorts people but doesnt really provide any economoc benefit to offset their taxation. IF I pay my mafia Don on time his guys arent going to come around hassling me as a paying customer. Yet the pigs will beat me up if they desire, pull me over resulting in retaxation for whatever fines are imposed, or even kill me or my dog if they feel like it. Usually with very little consequences.
