I was in the tyeamsters when Ron Carey got thrown off the election (and by extension his entire "slate" of croneys and goons was also disqualified) leaving Jimmy Hoffa Junior as the only candidate remaining
Thats right, Jimmy Hoffa Junior, known mobster, thief, and consummate douchebag guido was the only guy left in the race for teamster president.
Jimmy junior was left to run unopposed by a federal judge for the simple fact that he was LESS corrupt than Ron Carey, the incumbent.
Ron Carey's crime? direct ties to a criminal enterprise, Illegal fundraising, siphoning off union money to an outside organization, strongarming companies with threats of strikes and pickets if they didnt donate to his chosen "charity" in sufficient quantitiy and campaign finance violations.
this all stems from a program to transfer union "soft" money (the shit lefties say is poisonous to elections and should be banned) to the democratic national committee for the election of Al Gore.
you see, when unions "donate" to a political campaign they can spend their entire bank account, aas they have no responsibilities, no accountability and no obligations, while a corporation has stockholders, SEC investigators, the health of the company, Cash flow for operations and overhead, inventory, shipping and receiving, R&D, taxes and their worker's payroll and pensions to consider. unions have only their agenda to worry about.
this is why unions donate MORE than corporations in every election cycle, but union donations exclusively follow the Democrat candidate while corporate interests must pay off BOTH the corrupt motherfuckers to hedge their bets.
at this point chesus, ginja and foggy are fairly squirming in despair and clenching their sphincters in rage, but it's true. in actual hard money donations to parties and candidates, companies give more than unions, but when you factor in issue advertising, "independent expenditures", canvassing programs, rallies, leafleting, and all the other "donations" unions make to ensure the leftist candidate wins, unions spend more on every election than corporate america.
