Problem with voting, is knowing who and what to vote for.

A thread on here of good and bad politicians would be very helpful. I cannot keep up with that shit, but I will sure make a list of who is naughty and who is nice before I vote and lots of other people will too.

The way our law was passed, was as a voter initiative. It took 270,000 signatures from registered voters in Michigan for it to get on the ballot. For this politician to get it back before us on the ballot will be a lot harder. Because it would have to get approved through both houses with a 75% super majority. If that happens, then it would be back before us and could be overturned with 51% of the popular vote.

None of this will ever happen. Thread over.

It worry's me that a lot of people are deciding their votes on their MMJ views though, and I am guilty of that.. but damn it's a fine line because of all the other shit going on now. We might elect a pro-mmj politician, that totally fucks us in every other hole.. Know what I mean?

So yes vote pro-mmj for heavens sake, just try to pay attention to their other views on bigger issues too.

I'd throw my vote at Gary Johnson if it would make a difference. That dude, like Ron Paul, really make some sense to me but they'll never find traction in the Republican party and the Libertarian party isn't ready for a presidential win  Republican & Democrat rhetoric and all their cronies literally makes me sick. Marc Emery pulled off some pretty cool political shit up north many years ago, maybe we need a guy like that.

I agree, let the people decide what we want! Don't let these higher ups decide for us, get to the polls if this evers matures and be heard!!

Thats the easiest solution. I'm new to the MJ boards so I don't knnow the politics (if any) that goes on between them however, this obviously is one topic that if you belong to any other MJ boards similar to this one......POST UP. Spread the word which was already stated here before I know....just a little boost of motivation here. I wanna show an overwhelming increase in the percentage we had last time. Make whoever needs to shut the fuck up and drive on.

We have nothing to fear in MI but fear itself! None of this will ever fly and that is that. The people spoke and voted more then enough, to think a change in heart for the sick is just fear. I have lived in Detroit for 12 years now and it's a huge shit hole but I love her just as she is. Come november I will be sure to vote yes for other non medical peps to hold up to one ounce on there person on private prop! This is just the stepping stone to make the burbs grab on and ride the bull untill every city and county is smoking up without fear of big brother.

As far as bad views on medical goes...all you see on the news are drug dealers running shop NOT gramps in his garden! Fuck what stupid people think, the stupid have already voted on the subject and lost :)

Very true! Just think after 4 years of being legal, the state had to make a new machine that went from printing 500 cards per day to 5,000! I remember when the doctors charged 250 a person for there card and it took 7 months to get mailed to your house. Now, you can see a doctor for 99 bucks and get your card in the mail 3 weeks later. When you factor all the patients, caregivers, norml, mocc and the new crop of voters there is just no way to over turn such a law. Way to many people are involved in MI mj movement and it would be a cold day in hell to sit back and watch 4 years of progress go down the tubes. Lets not forget, just like the lotto the state of MI get a pretty nice pay off at 100 bucks a pop. I would bet money that if this clown said lets end this law makers would tell him to sit down and shut up. 100,000 people get there card and the state walks away with 10,000,000 and in a year the 100,000 have to re-new. No one in there right mind would let that money walk...
