Trying to grow Organic

Started up back at beginning of August after working on upgrading the shed a little. Immediately had issues with black Argentinian ant invasions through two tiny holes in otherwise airtight shed. Five females from six plants and they were looking pretty promising. Second batch of seeds and one female from six plants.

First problem, high humidity which i tried to mitigate by leaving the fan on after lights out for a while. Instead I added time on lights so instead of 12/12 it became 12.5/11.5. And the humidity got worse. Discovered the timer problem but after noticing slight changes in flowers. And lowered humidity.

Then i added 5 more females making for a crowded shed. Then I set them all up on blumat watering system and took a little over a week away in Poland.

First five:
2 Pink Gravy, one with pretty bad bud rot other with some bud rot. I used ice water extraction to make hash and was able to separate white mold in process.
2 Headband 707 one with bud rot which I might try to get some hash out of. Other headband turned out ok. I harvested early for fear of rot, has the right smell, ok high.
1 Vietnam Black/The One turned out ok but quite a bit of foxtailing. Then another short trip after harvest, humidity was 10%, any other harvest window would have been better. Dried a little crispy, very potent still, just a little harsh, my fault.

Second batch ended up with one Black Mamba female. The flowering process had just begun when I accidentally changed the light schedule. And guess what, started to throw some male ball sacks. I kicked her outside after trimming off lower branches and pulling a few sacks off. Never developed any more male ball sacks. I should have left her in the shed She did good outdoors, purpled up nicely with heavy frost.

Smell is a touch of bubble gum overpowered by an astringent smell. Taste very similar to smell, pretty potent flower.

Third batch I got 5 females from 7 seeds, three feminized. So I put them in a crowded shed with blumat watering and left town, These all took off with quite a stretch. Two of these also showed male ball sacks when I got back. I believe the stress was too many leaves blocking lower branches. I trimmed up the bottom of the plants quite a bit and again overreacted and threw the two outside. After cleaning up the bottom branches I never saw any more male sacks.

When weather got bad around thanksgiving I put the outdoor plants back in shed. Brought some aphids and sow bugs in at same time. Now at 9 weeks the four remaining are ready to harvest. All indoor plants have foxtailing. I reduced intensity on lights but probably too late. I am going to reduce cob intensity around week 5 by 30% next grow. The temperature may have been a little high, but that is not a problem now. AC was working but I kept upper half of shed around 85.

Harvested Gelato/Sunshine after aphid infestation. Only on leaves, flowers are nicely frosted and just now cured enough for a nice smoke.

SkunkyVA and Sour Bubba both needed quite a bit of support, which I pretty much ignored.

Don't know what type of ants yours are but mine love sugar. I'll always have ants in my yard but when they become disrespectful by coming in to the house or if their numbers need thinning out I love this stuff. One application for me will have a big affect and on some occasions the queen may be taken out. The ants always seem sad the next day.
Apply it in the morning in a shady spot where they are trailing. They sometimes ignore it in the later part of the day.

There is a Neal Young song with words: "why do I keep fucking up".

2019's theme. The latest being the ongoing saga of overreacting followed by not doing anything. Threw three plants outside and brought two back inside prior to rain and cold. Did not wash off the plants before bringing back inside shed.:wall:

Black aphids quickly multiplied on one plant once inside. Managed to spread the little buggers onto my grow #4 with both Nigerian Sunshine x Granny Skunk 1 plants getting aphids. Pulled everything out and washed with vinegar water. Smaller of two had aphids reappear so I put her outside.

Good news In comparison was that grow #3 only had one small spot of bud rot on the SkunkyVA.
Grow #5, Orgi, Vietnam Black x The One, Fisheye OG in shed:

Good news, popped 8 for 8. Six seeds from Swami Organic Seeds and two Sour Bubba. Swami seeds: Blue Orca x Black Afghan (BB), NL5 x the Black / nlhaze (BH) and Nigerian Sunshine (N), just watered, these seeds were planted in dirt directly, no soaking, 16 days ago, filters on photo are dark edges:

Still dealing with bud rot, hit both Nigerian x granny Skunk, plus aphids are still around and some white flys. Raised the temperature again to 70 at night, lowering humidity at night. I dislike bud rot, keep cleaning, yellow sticky traps and more fan flow. I shall see!

I identified this as one of the stages of white fly development. Plants are 4-5 weeks into flower, what to do? Going to put out sticky traps.
Double post, but there is a link with video of white fly.
