TRUMP INDICTED

Nouns, actually. I greatly dislike the repurposing of a plural as a singular, so I used the slash term for the possessive pronoun.

English really needs a gender-inclusive singular pronoun. The neuter is gender-exclusive, and the misused plural is wrong in all six degrees of freedom.

I might be in the minority on this, but to my mind, saying it in G-rated format somehow gives it more trenchant insult.
I actually misquoted. It's, 'May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits!' Generally followed by 'Infidel!' Depending on the audience of course. ;)

A host of the conspiracy network Infowars pleaded guilty Friday to one misdemeanor charge related to his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack.
Owen Shroyer changed his plea to guilty in a Washington, D.C., courtroom Friday morning for a charge of entering and remaining on restricted grounds. Prosecutors agreed to drop three other misdemeanor charges against him in exchange for the plea, according to court records.
“Your client agrees and acknowledges that the charges to be dismissed at the time of sentencing were based in fact,” the plea agreement addressed to Shroyer’s attorney, Norm Pattis, reads.
His change-of-plea decision was first reported Tuesday. As part of his plea, Shroyer has also agreed to cooperate with authorities on an “additional investigation.”
The plea agreement reads: “Your client agrees to allow law enforcement agents to review any social media accounts operated by your client for statements and postings in and around January 6, 2021, prior to sentencing.”

Sounds like shroyer might be alex jones' mark meadows...It would be nice if infowars just fucking disappeared too, never to be heard from again.
Looks like they might have enough testimony and evidence to get EVERYONE who participated in either the planning or the execution.

I have not heard too many democrats calling for a speedy trial, there are some for sure, but silence from many. Some MAGA republicans are making noises, but many are silent or avoiding the topic. Trump is a wrecking ball for the GOP and has captivated the majority of their base despite of being indicted. If his base gets pissed at the GOP, they might stay home because "the RINOs sold out", things are polling pretty tight so far and if they lose just 10% of their base they are screwed. Trump could make a bull moose run and nominate his own candidates if he doesn't win the nomination, even from prison. If he wins the nomination (from a cell), they stand a good chance of having the rug pulled out from under them before the election anyway.
Democrats weak ass bullshit is making me question if I want to bother voting for them. Dragging their feet like they have been is causing a lot of damage. Why bother backing them if they are just going to make speeches and ask me for donations, they need to do something and they needed to do it yesterday.

I get your view/argument, but trump won't lose any more voters than he has. He does keep others from rising to take the republican mantle, but that is because he is loved by the base and perfectly represents them now. A big group of shitty angry people found their champion.

Edit: Trump is good news for democrat news, that's why you don't hear about people wanting this done. He is ratings gold. The ultimate heel to keep people watching. They get to yell at the TV. Should turn it off and stop giving him an audience.

Trump news - live: DOJ prepares to hit Trump with new charges as ex-official cooperates in 2020 election probe

All the latest developments from the 2024 campaign trail as the former president’s legal troubles build

The Department of Justice is prepared to seek indictments against multiple figures in former president Donald Trump’s orbit and may yet bring additional charges against the ex-president in the coming weeks, The Independent has learned.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the department has made preparations to bring what is known as a “superseding indictment” — a second set of charges against an already-indicted defendant that could include more serious crimes — against the ex-president, and could do so in a number of different venues, depending on how prosecutors feel the case they have brought against him in a Florida federal court is proceeding.

Mr Trump’s other legal troubles also appear to be hotting up, with former campaign official Mike Roman reportedly cooperating with investigators probing his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Sources told CNN on Thursday that Mr Roman, who was involved in the fake electors scheme, has reached a proffer agreement with special counsel Jack Smith’s office. Rudy Giuliani is also said to have taken such an agreement.

Meanwhile, three investors in the special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) that took the Trump Media & Technology Group public have been indicted for insider trading.

While visiting family last week that is what really struck me. They spent so much of their time and energy watching talking heads sell them on outrage about trump. They got to get all outraged, very confident that this time they would get him, and talk back to the TV. Same as the Newsmax viewers that I mock for the same shit.

Making money is a both sides issue, they sell both sides of the issue. People should turn it off.
