didn't read it but took note that its not all caps. That's progress.
it is, but by sunday or monday Capt caps will prolly come out to play again.....that should be something to behold

i've been reading, and it seems dumpy is scared running with this case. One of the more suprising statements that came out is, Megan Kelly basically saying "he will be convicted", i've got a couple of other commentators saying the same thing, but i'm not much on hearsay right now....

meanwhile imo i like the way Merchan is playing this out, only if he would sanction his lawyer for frivolis motions, we'll get this thing on the road....

DUMPING: TruthSocial co-founders seek permission early sell-off
TruthSocial, the social media site the former president retreated to when he was kicked off mainstream options, is struggling after going public.

The DJT stock, representing Donald Trump’s media company, is still falling precipitously, and the news could get even worse for the former president. Currently, there’s a rule in place that prevents him from selling his own shares, and that also applies to some other early investors in the failing company.

Two co-founders, Wesley Moss and Andrew Litinsky, who say they initially pitched the idea of the site to Trump — then claim that they got cheated on stock shares — are now seeking to escape their connection to that investment. They had already filed a lawsuit, claiming that Trump cheapened the value of the shares they took as compensation instead of a paycheck.

Now they say they should be permitted to sell the stock before the pre-arranged 6-month mark, the same point at which Trump is allowed to dump his shares. Barron’s reports:

“In the latest development Moss and Litinsky have now amended their lawsuit to also seek to be able to sell their shares in Trump Media ahead of the expiration of a six-month lockup period.”

Trump also countersued to demand that they surrender the stock they own, blaming them for the delays in taking the site public. The two co-founders seek an injunction to stop that lawsuit.

It seems the two disgruntled partners are now willing to be rid of the stock, but “co-founders seeking permission to sell their shares” is not a great look for a company, and could drive the value even lower, both directly (if they receive permission to sell) and indirectly, by scaring off other investors.

Trump’s company is making that argument in response to the filing. Newsweek reported:

"Attorneys for Trump Media argued that the enforcement of share lockups is a standard practice in transactions involving companies like Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC), the report said, and that permitting the co-founders to sell off their shares prematurely would negatively impact both the company and its other shareholders.”

Trump’s dropping stock price has already cost him, with the merger first placing him on the Bloomberg 500 list, then the drop in value removing him from it again.

If he should decide to request a dispensation from the company’s board (packed with family and supporters, including his son Donald Trump Jr. and former Congressman Devin Nunes) and dump his own before it drops further, it could be the beginning of the end for TruthSocial.

looks like there ready to dump it........

Trump calls hush money jury selection ‘largely luck,’ offers to testify at trial
Former President Trump described the upcoming jury selection in his first criminal trial as “largely luck” on Friday.

Trump was asked about his hush money trial that begins on Monday in New York at a press conference alongside Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) at Mar-a-Lago.

“Jury selection is largely luck,” the former president said. “It depends who you get. It’s very unfair that I’m having a trial there.”

The multi-step jury selection process is set to begin Monday morning, with hundreds of prospective jurors being summoned to the courthouse. They will be whittled down to a list of 12 jurors and six alternates. Each side can attempt to challenge jurors for cause, and they’ll also have a limited number of strikes they can use without providing a reason.

The former president on Friday again suggested he may testify at the trial once it gets underway, as he has previously said.

“Yeah I would testify, absolutely,” Trump said at Mar-a-Lago. “It’s a scam. It’s a scam, that’s not a trial.”

Jurors are not allowed to hold it against Trump if he chooses not to testify.

Trump’s legal team has pulled out all the stops for an eleventh-hour delay of the upcoming trial, but separate judges have rejected four of the former president’s delay attempts just this week.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) has accused Trump of falsifying business records when he reimbursed his then-fixer, Michael Cohen, for a 2016 hush payment to porn actress Stormy Daniels to stay quiet about an alleged affair with Trump. Trump, who denies the affair, pleaded not guilty.

Trump mocks judges in legal battles, asks who is the ‘worst’ or ‘most evil’
Former President Trump mocked judges who have been a part of his various legal battles on Saturday, asking which of them is the worst or the most corrupt.

It continues an assault on the judges who have been appointed to sit over his various trials, and comes just before his hush-money trial is set to begin in New York on Monday.

“Who is the WORST, most EVIL and most CORRUPT JUDGE? Would it be Judge Arthur Engoron, Judge Lewis Kaplan or, could it be that my current New York disaster, Judge Juan Merchan, is the WORST?” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

Merchan will preside over the hush money trial, when when it begins on Monday will represent the first time a former U.S. president sits for a trial on criminal charges in U.S. history.

“They are all from violent crime (without retribution!) filled New York, are really bad Judges, are extraordinarily conflicted and unfair, and most obviously to all, suffer from a rare but very lethal disease, TDS, commonly known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME,” the former president wrote.

Engoron and Kaplan oversaw both Trump’s New York civil fraud case and his E. Jean Carroll defamation case.

Trump has previously lashed out at Merchan’s daughter Loren, who has served as an executive at a progressive political consulting firm that has worked for Democrats including President Biden and Vice President Harris.

Loren Merchan appeared to be behind an account on the social platform X that used a photo illustration of Trump in prison as a profile picture, according to The Associated Press. A court spokesperson said the account was no longer linked to her; it has since gone private, and the photo has been updated.

“So, let me get this straight,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

“The Judge’s daughter is allowed to post pictures of her ‘dream’ of putting me in jail, the Manhattan D.A. is able to say whatever lies about me he wants, the Judge can violate our Laws and Constitution at every turn, but I am not allowed to talk about the attacks against me, and the Lunatics trying to destroy my life, and prevent me from winning the 2024 Presidential Election, which I am dominating?”

Orange dumbo has a lot on his table this month...:

April 15th the criminal trail....

April 22nd Eragorn trail about the $175mil bond (IMO i personally think it's gonna get thrown out, on grounds, the company is from NY, and they don't have the money to cover $500mil) if that happens, and i'm using "if" that mean AG of NY can start taking his properties....we'll see

April 25th is the SCOTUS oral arguments on the orange dumbo immunity claim (this should be interesting imv)

the latest amicus briefs are here:

the latest filed was from a bunch of 4 star generals basically saying to the courts he shouldn't have immunity

and also here is a little right up opinion pieace from Mullershewrote (you can find her on X, and she's pretty good)
Would have loved to see Gens. Milley and Mattos,Kelley also join in on that(miffed as to why not),I remember Trump getting a boner over the "Mad Dog" nickname(the mentality of a 7 yo AGAIN),All the old school R's,staff members, the Gens/Admirals,the incompetent record(ALL THAT WINNING),and his sordid malfeasance pre/during/post presidency and STILL so many believers ????????? Old Med,Hannimal,Cannabineer,Fog Dog, and others it's been a pleasure rapping w/y'all this winter, going back to work won't be around much, hopefully when I'm laid off in Dec. i'll be celebrating w/you on a Trump defeat, anything crazy goes down I'll pop in w/my 2 cents on weekends,TAKE CARE of yourselves.

Fascist tramp is nothing more than a conman, yet because he is rich he is avoiding all accountability. I’ve been in jail before, for a month because I had a joint of Pot. It’s just sickening how he is not incarcerated
The money game at his level is vomit inducing, bankruptcy, tax loopholes, front companies, etc, etc, etc. He's FKD up enough that if he were of modest means he's be in a homeless encampment if lucky or catch a shank in the can if not, it's all vile, unfair, and maddening. Jacky Gleason, "Honeymooners", "Some Day Your Gonna Get Yours", waiting patiently Jacky, RIP.

Trump blames Biden for Iran strike on Israel: ‘It would not have happened if we were in office’
Former President Trump on Saturday ripped into President Biden over Iran’s recent attack against Israel, arguing it would not be occurring if were still in the Oval Office.

“I want to say God bless the people of Israel — they’re under attack right now,” Trump said Saturday during a rally in Schnecksville, Penn. “That’s because we show great weakness. This would not happen.”

“The great weakness that we’ve shown is unbelievable, and it would not have happened if we were in office. You know that, they know that, everybody knows that,” he added.

The rally was held shortly after Iran launched an attack of drone and missile strikes on Israel on Saturday, sparking fears of a wider regional conflict in the Middle East.

Israel later said the “vast majority” of the Iranian missiles were intercepted outside of the country by the country’s air defenses and the assistance of its allies, including U.S. forces.

Trump on Saturday said America “prays for Israel,” telling the crowd, “We send our absolute support to everyone in harm’s way. This is an attack that would not have happened.”

“I will revive American strength abroad, and we will restore American strength at home,” he continued.

He echoed the argument on Truth Social, writing earlier in the day, “ISRAEL IS UNDER ATTACK! This should never have been allowed to happen – This would NEVER have happened if I were President!”

The Hill reached out to the Biden campaign and the White House for comment.

Biden returned to the White House on Saturday in the wake of Iran’s attacks to consult with his national security team. He later spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and said he condemned the attacks “in the strongest possible terms.”

“I’ve just spoken with Prime Minister Netanyahu to reaffirm America’s ironclad commitment to the security of Israel,” Biden said. “I told him that Israel demonstrated a remarkable capacity to defend against and defeat even unprecedented attacks – sending a clear message to its foes that they cannot effectively threaten the security of Israel.”

The former president has repeatedly claimed ongoing tensions abroad would not have occurred under his leadership. In October, Trump said there would be “zero chance” Hamas’s surprise assault on Israel would have happened, arguing the attacks were a result of the U.S. being seen as “weak and ineffective.”
