BREAKING: A nuclear bomb of bad news hits Donald Trump as his former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows is granted immunity by Special Counsel Jack Smith in exchange for testifying about what he knows.

This is how mafia bosses fall...

According to sources familiar with the proceedings, Meadows has spoken when Jack Smith's team at least three times this year — including at least one time in front of a federal grand jury. Meadows' meetings were facilitated by a historic immunity deal.

Meadows told Smith that he REPEATEDLY told Trump in the weeks following the 2020 election that the allegations of widespread voter fraud were utterly baseless. Meadows said to that investigators that Trump was "dishonest" with the public by pushing the Big Lie.

"Obviously we didn't win," Meadows told Smith's team.

This bodes exceptionally well for American democracy and extremely poorly for Donald Trump. With Meadows on board, it seems like Smith's team is ready to bring the hammer down on Trump.

I was waiting for the Meadows shoe to fall, almost anticlimactic after the last three lawyers. But they can hardly touch Trump like Meadows can. It is a good day. Ah, I had to see,

Report: Meadows Granted Immunity in Jan. 6 Case
Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows was granted immunity to testify under oath in Special Counsel Jack Smith's Jan. 6 case, ABC News reported on Tuesday, citing unnamed sources.

ABC News reported Meadows, who served as the final chief of staff for former President Donald Trump, informed Smith's team he repeatedly told the then-president in the weeks following the 2020 presidential election that the allegations of significant voting fraud were baseless.

Further, ABC News reports Meadows told Smith's investigators that Trump was being "dishonest" when he first claimed to have won the election in the hours after polls closed on Nov. 3, 2020, before final results were in.

Trump faces charges in the case accusing him of illegally attempting to overturn his defeat in the 2020 presidential election.

Wonder how the unwashed are taking it?

These new plea deals are going to get harder to come by as the case against Trump becomes more and more of a “Slam Dunk”. I have a feeling now, unless the indicted co-conspirators have really good info, the deals will be less favorable for the accused.

Most of those in congress communicated and arranged meetings with Trump through Meadows, he knows who requested a pardon and why. His credibility has been damaged recently, but he could have receipts to back it up. Mark was the hub of a hub and spoke conspiracy and knows a lot about many of the plots and he could ensnare many people. He was Trump's main man during the insurrection and before, it might make some in congress and the senate nervous. Mark had a lot of conversations with them and others, Trump mentioned his "friends in congress" during the plot to coerce the DOJ and former DOJ officials are witnesses.

Fuck. Meadows deserves jail time. A lot of jail time. He's not to be trusted on the witness stand. But I'm no Jack Smith.

He will have to cough up a lot, the feds drive a very hard bargain, and he hardly needs him to nail Trump's ass. However, there are public considerations too in having these people publicly confess to the big lie and their crimes. If Mark does no federal time, you will know he coughed up more than Trump and his cronies. What would Gym Jordan and a few other magats in the house and senate be worth to you? What would it be worth to the country to get rid of them?

Maybe. If it turns out to convict Gym Jordan, Ron Johnson, Lindsey Graham, Paul Gosar, Kevin McCarthy, Louis Gohmert, Mo Brooks, Josh Hawley, Scott Perry, Andy Biggs, Rick Scott, Chuck Grassley, Ted Cruz, Kelli Ward, and more not in the House of Representatives, I could stand it.

If Jack won a lot and convicted Trump and his cronies while gathering witnesses like Mark Meadows, he could afford to take risks and go after members of congress too. He would be fearsome with Trump's golden scalp on his belt and a bunch of conspiracy witnesses with deals to spill their guts about everything.

He might not get them all, but he might get a few and make more sweat bullets. If the democrats win a hattrick in 24 there will be a 2.0 J6 committee to put a cap on this shit when the dust settles and make recommendations for new laws, in the summer of 28, the democrats will release the report, just before election season... We all have a pretty good idea of how J6 went down and who in congress was involved the most, proving it is the problem. Ya never know, if Joe wins again Garland could retire and a victorious Jack smith could be AG! That should make some republicans shit themselves in fright, his confirmation would be quite the show.

No siree bob, that will most certainly NOT happen. If it does, they are no better than the magats they would be opposing.

I too am taking nervous note of how easy people have been getting off by turning witness. They participated in a conspiracy to overthrow an election. A few years parole and a few hundred hours public service seems a bit light considering the crime.

Sage advice:
A second J6 committee will be required when the legal dust settles to advise on new legislation, once the complete picture of this historic event is known and the courts expose all the details. The first inquiry was incomplete to say the least. The timing will just work out that way and it is a legitimate use of government power to protect and defend the US constitution and an honest effort. It is not a made from whole cloth conspiracy and abuse of power that the republican fascists practice. Democratic government requires good will and this would not be a breach of that, exposing the truth never is. These assholes and their party are guilty as sin in betraying the US constitution in one of its most fundamental functions, to prevent a tyrant from arising. They betrayed their oaths, the nation, the constitution and the founding ethos of the nation as a liberal democracy.

Powell was Flynn's lawyer when he was pardoned by Trump, after the judge was ready to throw the book at him, but before he was sentenced. Everything is on the table with her plea deal and sure would be in DC with Jack.

In the wake of Powell's plea deal in Georgia, others noted the timing of Flynn's pardon in relation to Powell working with Trump.

The @7Veritas4 account on X, which frequently posts legal updates regarding Trump, wrote: "Why is he having an aneurysm over Sidney Powell?

"Not just because she flipped in Georgia this week. It's also because of a potential conflict of interest that could put Michael Flynn's pardon in jeopardy...something the DOJ is very interested in. Buckle up."

Lindy Li, a political commentator, and Democratic National Committee member, wrote: "Sidney Powell is the missing link between Mike Flynn's quid pro quo pardon from Trump and his sudden decision shortly thereafter to aggressively promote election denial and help incite a terrorist insurrection. Watch this space."

Former FBI official Peter Strzok, who worked on Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation before being fired over an alleged political bias against Trump, also noted while sharing the former president's statement about Powell: "Apropos of nothing, let's talk about the pardon I gave Mike Flynn."

As part of a plea deal, Powell was given six years probation and ordered to testify against the other defendants in their Georgia trial, which may include Trump. The former president has pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him under Willis' election interference investigation.

Trump says he doesn’t think Meadows would take immunity deal ‘after being hounded like a dog’
Former President Donald Trump suggested his former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, would be a “weakling and a coward” to take an immunity deal with federal prosecutors after he reportedly reached such a deal with special counsel Jack Smith.
Trump, in a pair of Truth Social posts late Tuesday, reacted to an ABC News report that Meadows testified before a grand jury empaneled to hear evidence in the case over Trump’s efforts to remain in power after the 2020 election, doing so after being granted immunity.

“I don’t think Mark Meadows would lie about the Rigged and Stollen 2020 Presidential Election merely for getting IMMUNITY against Prosecution (PERSECUTION!) by Deranged Prosecutor, Jack Smith,” Trump wrote.

“BUT, when you really think about it, after being hounded like a dog for three years, told you’ll be going to jail for the rest of your life, your money and your family will be forever gone, and we’re not at all interested in exposing those that did the RIGGING…Some people would make that deal, but they are weaklings and cowards, and so bad for the future our Failing Nation,” Trump continued. “I don’t think that Mark Meadows is one of them, but who really knows?”

Trump also claimed Meadows never told him that the 2020 election was not rigged or fraudulent, pushing back on a key part of the ABC News report.

Meadows reportedly told the grand jury that after former President Trump’s election loss, he repeatedly told the him that his claims of widespread fraud were baseless. Meadows also told investigators that Trump was being “dishonest” with voters when he proclaimed victory on election night, according to ABC.

That testimony would counter a claim Trump has repeated since losing the election — and that his lawyers defended as recently as Monday night.
Meadows served as Trump’s chief of staff for the final year of his White House term, and he was a central figure in allowing Trump to meet with attorneys pushing false claims about the 2020 election being stolen, according to former White House officials. Meadows has largely remained out of the public eye since the end of Trump’s term.

Reports that Meadows testified as part of an immunity deal came as multiple Trump allies agreed to plea deals in Georgia, where Trump is also facing charges for his efforts to overturn the state’s 2020 election results.
Jenna Ellis, Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro have each taken deals in recent days, raising the specter that they may increase Trump’s legal jeopardy.

Isn't this guy a witness and isn't Trump suppose to STFU about that according to his gag order from some judge or another.

The walls are definitely closing in on Donald and his cronies! These guys are fucked from so many different directions it's hard to keep track of it all. The bill should start coming due for Donald over the next couple of months with disqualification and losing most of his properties and money, if not all. The reckoning for the GOP will come after that during their primaries with Donald disqualified and running around loose while facing trial in DC.
