Treat roots with h202 then add hydroguard

Hey all hows everything going over there?

I just wanted to ask a quick question.

I am currently running hydroguard, one plant has started to show some signs of root rot l. This plant had it before, I chopped the roots, planted back in soil and added voodoo juice and root were exploding! Re introduced to dwc, took off and the rot is starting to come back. I was wondering if I can treat with h202 and then reintroduce beneficials. I also have great white shark but it doesnt seem to dissolve well in dwc. Just goes right to the bottom. Please if there is anyone out there, just wanted to know if you've done this before. I've got 3 percent at 2ml per gallon... that's all I know lol. Too much conflicting opinions, and I want to stick with the beneficial way. Any help.would be huge!

And this is my first time running hydroguard, hard to get in toronto! I also wanted to know if ph is off can this cause root rot! My pen was off a whole point!

Obviously the pic with smaller plant matches the pic smaller roots ! You can see the plant still looks good, just stunted growth now.there is no slime at all btw! The roots are just browning.is this normal. My nutes are current culture. I'm using veg a veg b cal mag. Hydroguard. Ph is 5.6 and started to rise daily to 6.1. The roots were doing amazing and then this happened. Is it possible to get root rot from touching the roots?

which pic do you think is rot? i'm not seeing much if any.

i've gone from soil to dwc but never twice.

seems to me that you have some factors contributing to rot if you keep getting it with hydroguard.

This is the first time getting it with hydroguard. Before I was using uc roots. But i want to go beneficial... Maybe it's not rot but roots were white shiny strong and now they are just lifeless with a few new white shoots. There's no slime they get brown and a minor slimy always at the top of the bucket where the air is. I am using distilled water... light is blocked out. I dont know what it is.

And I started in dwc.... put in soil to recover and put back in.... with hydroguard. The other one is from seed in rockwool then put into dwc, that plant itself the roots are half good and half infected, but plant is still thriving no problem so I am gonna leave it alone and let it do its thing. The larger one has just gotten worse.

Which I assume came from the ph pen being used.. probably spread.

that is even stranger to hear. getting it with sterile and bennies is not good.

water temps? sure you got plenty of bubbles? light leaks? i'd ditch the clear airline tubing for sure.
Yes I got it with the black ones originally.. but I had it in a room where the water was hitting 80. I switched rooms and now hovers before 68 and 70. It's on a concrete floor now in a tent

since you want to stick with bennies, all i can say is max dose of hydroguard (should) stop it. i use southern ag ( you guys can't get in Canada apparently) but it's a million X more concentrated than HG. if not, another bennie along with the HG depending on what you can get.

It's on a comcrete

Thank you appreciate it. Would ph that's off cause root rot? If the roots aren't sucking anything up?
well, it shouldn't BUT pH pens go bad and give false readings. If you find youirself adding a lot of up/down, chances are it's giving a false reading

try mixing the GWS in a small amount of very warm water, then dilute

Picture one roots look good

How close to the water line is the bottom of the net pot?

When you pull the plant out of the nutrient, the roots collect, so hard to see how deep they go into the nutrient solution

Hey so I tried adding great white shark tonight diluted in water before . Both roots are very deep into the water.the smaller one had whiter roots but now they are both the same. The larger one I decided in gonna give it h202 all the time from now on because I had root issues already the little one is a og kush. The larger one is fine and growing now.... with the h202

My question is this. The smaller one is the one i actually want to work lol I bought the seeds for that one. Right now I ph to 5.8. At first it stayed and nothing changed and it ate and drank very little but everything was normal. Now it seems after about 14 hours the ph is 6.3.... ec is around 125...and isnt changing... water level isnt changing. roots are still white or a cream white. No slime no rot ....... mostly white at the very bottom. Plant is stunted hard . It was doing amazing.. its entering 3 week from seed.. should I just give it a little time to shoot out new roots? I've also tripled the air that it was first getting. The water level would start out touching the bottom of the net pot. And I would put the rockwool about 2 to 3 inches from the bottom of the net.... the roots would explode out and I would drop it to an inch below.... I put it 2 to 3 inches be ause I dont want the rockwool soaked. Is it possible that when I lower the water level that the rockwool isnt getting wet enough? Essentially after I lowered 4 days later whatever wasnt in the water is what started to changed color and eventually most of it did.... what do you guys think I should do?
