Lacing cord, the wax covered telecom type. It almost rivals duct tape in usefulness.

No one but me is taking a hand crank radio?
They make a hancranked Led light and radio combo . I love mine fits in my pocket never have to worrie about batteries very nice investment .

I think it really depends on what kind of skills you have under your belt to choose what will be in your bag. I have taught wilderness survival and done years of minimalist backpacking. This eliminates the need for a lot of things when you know how to make them from resources you can find.

Here's the only things in mine

parachute chord
machete
gerber sheath knife
extra nylon shorts
mesquito net
One can of chilli
one can of tuna
sewing needle and string

with these materials you can accomplish almost anything, I cannot stress how important the parachute chord and machete are. You can build a log cabin with enough chord. The chord takes up most of the room in my bag. And you can start fire with the machete by hitting a rock. With a bag this light weight you will be able to cover a greater distance and climb trees ect real fast when you hear ppl approaching. The chili and tuna are only for emergencies, snares should be used to catch anything from squirrels to deer

I travel a lot on short notice so I always keep a bag ready for the road. It's more work/stranded in the middle of nowhere oriented with 3 sets of clothes, set of stained up clothes (in case there's any dirty work), swim trunks, First Aid kit, sewing kit, a small blanket, wind up emergency radio/flashlight, 2 led head flashlights, batteries, Bic lighters, survival knife, 2 large trash bags and 100ft of clothesline. That all fits in a large gym bag. I also have a small lunch kit with 6 pouches of tuna, 6 pouches of Spam, 2 cans of Progresso soup, 2 cans vienna sausages, Ritz crackers, peanut butter/cheese crackers, cookies, Jolly Ranchers, M&M's, 6pk of 5 Hour Energy and eating utensils. I also keep some small 8oz boxes of Horizon Organic Milk in my cupboard to take with me. It has an amazing shelf life and does not need to be refrigerated. Those 2 bags plus my shaving kit and I'm good to go. That doesn't count all the stuff I keep in the truck anyway like sleeping bags, hand sanitizer, portable grill, tarps, ice chest, extra shoes, ect.

All I really need to add to it for a real bug out bag is a few weapons and some camo.

guns ammo and lots of cocaine

i fuckin kill everything i see ahhhhhhhh
Cocaine though a fantastic anesthestic is not the stimulant of choice for your intended use. If I were taking stimulants it would be benzedrine or dexedrine. Of course please feel free to pick your own poison LOL.

....snip.......

No one but me is taking a hand crank radio?
Snicker.... you think I'd listen if I took one?

Do you mean just the sock?!?!?! Seems like too much friction. The fleshlight doubles as a drinking cup, so it has more than one function.
If you attach leds to it so it doubles as a flashlight I could go with it.
After a few uses my sock holds water pretty well.
You can also use it to sand speartips n shit.

You need essentials like a emergency blanket and ik this is gonna sound weird but my dad used this on the Appalachian trail you need the clear shower curtain so you can use that as a cheap sleeping bag , next you need food I whould suggest Peanut Butter as it has a long shelf life and its high fat content can keep you going.
Next your gonna want to pack some type of food just so you can have more filling stuff other than peanut butter but thats up to you
NOW your gonna need a weapon if your looking for a gun then the kel tec sub 2000 is your best bet but if your not wanting a gun then anything like a crow bar or metal baseball bat whould definitely work

Iam a survival nut PM me if your wanting more info on anything to do with preparation Beacuse I sure as hell can tell

i keep a rolled up tarp, rope, first aid kit, flash light flares and flare gun, latex gloves, dust mask, dry food like protein bars 3600 calorie bars, and army rations, socks, underwear, 1 change of clothes basically, pocket knife, mini axe, map of my general surrounding area, a bigger map of canada, a mini tool kit (screwdriver kinda thing), 1 pot, matches, lighters, water purification tablets, pepper spray, duct tape, basic fire starter, poncho, compass, whistle, sewing kit, playing cards, book on survival information, what kinda plants you can eat kinda thing,
theres a few other things
but make sure to have at least 2 one with you at all times like in a car, and the other at home
my biggest tip is dont pack for 1 sort of disaster situation like a zombie outbreak or plague pack for any disaster
I always keep a small container of honey in my backpack. Honey is actually very versatile.
