You know I always wondered why the zombie plague never hit the animals or why the zombies just left the animals alone.

because movies are unrealistic not that a zombie plague is realistic either lol
in the event with a plague it will start with either birds or pigs , depending if airborne
than it will multiple and evolve and hit monkeys and humans and than it will take over other animals

I only need a 3hr notice........3hrs due north of me and I'm at the base of mt Shasta, all the clean drinking water you could ever need. Deer, elk, hogs, trout, salmon.....my biggest problem is getting there before the shit hits the fan......

i dont think you understand how an infectious plague works

"Contact with contaminated fluid or tissue. Humans can become infected when handling tissue or body fluids of a plague-infected animal. For example, a hunter skinning a rabbit or other infected animal without using proper precautions could become infected with plague bacteria. This form of exposure most commonly results in bubonic plague or septicemic plague."
Occasionally, other species become infected, causing an outbreak among animals, called an epizootic. Humans are usually more at risk during, or shortly after, a plague epizootic. Scientific studies have suggested that epizootics in the southwestern United States are more likely during cooler summers that follow wet winters. Epizootics are most likely in areas with multiple types of rodents living in high densities and in diverse habitats.
hence your plan of a mt shasta would be a bad idea int he event of a plague

I think you need to understand how a plague works effects animals first than humans almost always

Well I'm just gonna hope it never happens. if it does, doesnt sound like a survival bag will do me much good. Ill still make one though just to try and survive I guess.

the bug out bag is only for the sole purpose of lasting 72 hours until government control can take back over in the event of a disaster, which is why i pack for many types of disasters not whcih one is more likely to happen.
now the real question is can the government get back control after 72 hours or are you fucked without additional plan of actions
im going with the latter, example : katrina

I still think it will take quite a while for the plague to reach the more remote areas, like mt Shasta. It will start in the cities and work it's way out....I'll be one of the last to go......
