I've got a Fatty, a Redwood and a 4vs. I love them all. I've got two Magnolias on order as well.

All of my cob fixtures are mixed temps from 1750-4k.

It would take a lot for me to switch from Timber! They've provided great products and first rate service

I know. And it would be interesting to flower a crop with strips instead of COB's.

But I am really pleased with what I am taking out of the tent every 11 weeks. I think it would be more of change for change sake as opposed to satisfying a real need.

So being content with my current lighting, I am thinking of new irons instead.

Just got my new Magnolia. It's a very impressive light and I'm looking forward to some great results with it. I'm going to use it on my next grow instead of my Fatty and see how it goes.
As usual from Timber, the build quality is outstanding. The heat management system is pretty simple but should be highly effective in dispersing heat evenly and preventing drivers and boards from overheating. The boards are mounted to heavy duty extruded aluminum plates that have added ribbing on the backside to better absorb heat. Those are then mounted to aluminum rails to further absorb heat. So, the whole frame is basically a heat sink. Given the efficiency of the boards and the heat management, the light generated should approach that of a Fatty.
Another aspect of these lights is the fact that Timber worked with Samsung to produce these boards. They were designed by Samsung for cultivation. The far-red diodes are Samsung too and are top bin diodes. There's no diode quality roulette with these boards. No counterfeits or B quality diodes.
Having individual drivers for each board is great failsafe insurance should a driver crap out. The fixture will continue to run on the remaining drivers.
Overall, while I'm biased, these lights can compete with anything on the market. The price, build quality and board integrity are second to none. In my view, Timber has just set the bar pretty high for board-based lighting fixtures. IMO, these blow HLG's out of the water.

Got mine all set up and I think I'm going to try it out next run also. Very very pretty light so far astetics wise and I'm sure it will kill it in the grow also!

I'm just kidding guys. I'm not expecting any problems with my 4vs anytime soon. I don't really run it all that hard. By the time I have problems with it bars will be cheap. Lol
Though I noticed tha bas sells the 4vs for $599 still. Lol

So, I've decided to do a test grow of some CBD autos using the new Timber Magnolia.
Using 365 BioBloom as growing media.
Will be running 19 on 5 off, with 1000 ppm co2 with room at ambientPXL_20220611_004406930.jpg temperature.
Strains are Grass-O-Matic Med Gom and Sweet Seeds Sweet Nurse.
Seedlings are currently under 350 watts of light at 24 inches.
Will post periodic updates

Are the heatsinks on the magnolia Tnutz 1 inch by half inch? I have been using 1 inch by 1 inch and was wondering if the 1 by half inch would'nt work on next light. I use 10 heatsinks on same wattage that magnolia has 8, but i use f series singles instead of brigiluxs.

The dimensions appear to be around 1" x 2 1/2". However, not sure. Dan from Timber is the person for definitive answers.

We have decided to stop offering the COB lights due to issues in sourcing and maintaining stock of key components. While we cannot say for sure this will be a forever move, as of right now we do not have plans to reintroduce the line.
