I'm old enough to remember when Washington crossed the Delaware ... it was front page news back then.

I remember when one car was all a family would need.
I remember when you bought a pick-up truck because you couldn't afford a car.
I remember that the first phone number I memorized as a child was four numbers.
I remember a doctor making a house call.
I remember an operator asking me for 'number please'.
I remember a teacher, in a public school ... teaching fifth graders that people have the right and the freedom to believe anything they want, and to express those beliefs.
I remember buying gas for 67 cents a gallon, getting the windshield washed, air checked, radiator topped and a 'thank you'.

We are old, so we resist change - that's normal.
Keep your mind young.
Think. Question. Read. Question. Observe. Question. Do your own research.
Above all .... ask questions.

I will put my brain up against any 20 something out there.
It wouldn't be a fair conte
WOW you are old..............lol

Yup.
Those were the good old days.

I remember when the worse VD you could get would be cleared up with one shot of PCN.
I remember when a car with 100k miles on it, was worn out.
I remember when remote control for the TV was the youngest child.
I remember when the air was dirty and sex was clean.
I remember standing in line to get a polio vaccination along with hundreds of others.

OK. Henny Penny. You be careful out there. The sky is falling.

Fearmongering – whether justified or not – can sometimes elicit a societal response called Chicken Little syndrome, described as "inferring catastrophic conclusions possibly resulting in paralysis". It has also been defined as "a sense of despair or passivity which blocks the audience from actions".
The moral of the traditional Chicken Little story is to have courage, even when it feels like the sky is falling.

"We are going to tell the king the sky is falling down," replied Henny Penny. "We must go quickly, as there is no time to lose." "I will come with you," said Ducky Lucky, shaking the water off his feathers. So Henny Penny, Cocky Locky and Ducky Lucky hurried on together towards the king's palace.
