I was using ncsl.org as a source for that number. That number has now changed to 31 States with Voter ID in force. Figure out which ones have no laws or are aren't in force on your own.
Now what? Back to pretending that registration laws are voter ID laws again?

You are gearing up to say that NE is a voter ID State, which would make ncsl.org a fat liar, and thus, a propagandist website. Pretty simple deduction.
So.. why don't you send your 'proof' to ncsl.org and tell them to update their info. Make sure you get them to remove CO and AK from the list of voter ID States while you are at it.

for the sake of brevity, we can refer to them as 'states with no voter ID laws'.
do you agree about this basic framework?

You say, "AH ha! NE requires first time mail voters to show ID"
I say, "You can still vote in NE without ever showing any documents as it currently stands today"
You say, "But showing ID means it's a voter ID law!"
Which then brings up the source, just like I said it would. So lets just cut to the chase. Is ncsl.org a bunch of liars or not? Do they have their facts wrong? If so, maybe you should let them know. Like I said, make sure to let them know that you think AK and CO are not voter ID States while you are at it.

The only time voters are asked for their ID is if they were a first time Nebraska registrant who mailed in their registration application and didn’t provide ID at that time.
