So who whined and got particles' post removed? Really? It's ok as long as everything is sunshine and unicorns but as soon as someone with a strong opinion dare state their strong opinion you guys get upset? But it's ok for you to call him/her names and expect them to just take it. Grow up! If you don't like what people have to say don't read their posts or ignore them. I happen to think particle is someone who continually makes an effort to contribute something of value to the conversation. I would hope that whoever is trying to control the board is happy with themselves. When people like particle quit posting knowledgeable information, we all lose. Good on ya.

as long as people aren't being personally attacked, then i fully agree.

While I agree with your point, positive or negative posts should be allowed and can make good conversation. It's not what you say, but how you say it. Flaming just detracts from any reasonable conversation and that's what he was doing imo. If I were an admin I would have booted his ass out after the first few posts.

I agree - Particle has some great things to say - and I will miss reading them, and him as a person.

But I have to think about myself here. And hateful shit, by anyone, towards me - is NOT good for me.

So people can't call bullshit? What's the point of the conversation if you can't? It is entirely possible that some people have more insight into other peoples motives and we are limited to the written word. I have had to reread several posts here to make sure I was really getting what the person was trying to say. Sometimes you have to say it I a snotty tone to get the full effect. But when people are being idiots and someone calls them on it...I'm good with that. I think some people are intimidated by particle. I need a fucking dictionary to read their posts sometimes. What I don't get is why so many are backing the one person that particle outed?

Absolutely they should be able to whether they're right or wrong, they should still be able to have their say. But I've met many people that have great views, yet their tone/attitude comes off abrasive and immediately gets tuned out.

I think he is very smart, and has interesting perspectives.

We chatted a lot. Which is probably why I was MORE hurt by the things that he said than if it was some random stranger.

He just needs to learn to say his point without being actually mean.

Calling me stupid - is mean and unnecessary. He may think that - fine. But saying it when we are trying to have a discussion - is not acceptable in my book.

So I freaked out - stooped down to the name-callin business (as I am apt to do at times). And then hit the ignore button.

I don't have any clue what has happened after that point.

From my perspective - the whole thread looks lovely!

Am I "outed"? What does that mean?

I have mental illness - I have outed myself for that 100 times.

I have an MMJ prescription - again, I am not silent about that.

I do not know much about politics, but I am trying to learn.

The people that like to make other people feel small, because they know more - are half of the reason I never even tried to look into politics before this point. I was scared. Afraid someone would think I was stupid for being so apathetic. Would be mean to me - because in my saddest times - I could NOT have handled that shit.
