Follow the embedded link to NLs “fantasy electoral map.”

To the serious concerns in the above article, I will add one more, especially since NLs has not disclosed its candidates.

It has to do with the definition of “independent moderate.”
The nation’s Overton window has been pulled far to the right. Any actual centrists (barring those who will vote for an extant third party) are moderate Democrats like our President.

So this is imo a right-wing Trojan horse.

If or when they commit to a candidate, it will be fascinating to hear how that candidate weighs in on gender and women’s rights, general access to healthcare, climate and energy policy, and taxation.

Any true moderate will fight like hell to roll back the pseudolibertarian small-government unregulated-capitalism Citizens-United excursions from an operating republic with which red dark money has yoked us.

That’ll be the touchstone.

Its hard for me to accept that our democracy can be gamed as Republicans did in 2016 to win a national election even though they garnered a minority of the vote. I put highest priority on the commitment to democracy and winning elections by rules set ahead of the political season. So, yes, there is a path for GOP to squeak a win through by secretly funding a fake 3rd party that could siphon off enough votes in key states to throw the election to them. That said, Democrats are playing by the same rules. Their job is to win the election fairly under those rules. No whining.

Agent Orange won in 2016 by a lot less than his defeat in 2020,yet he was robbed in 2020,WHAT ABOUT 2016 didn't somebody get ROBBED then according to your standards? Not a peep about those results or the class showed by the D's who had to endure an electoral vote loss when they won the pop vote.IF Agent Orange won a pop vote(highly unlikely) and lost an election via the electoral vote he'd be absolutely rip-shit,the "System is Gamed","I'm the legit Pres.","Stolen","Gotta fight like hell or lose the country"would be fired off incessantly,he'd be calling for Civil war. And yet they pick and choose and omit and spoonfeed supporters as if they were in a stroller. Facts so obviously disregarded that I believe the majority of his support could be won over passing out lollipops.

This week (Thurs. I think) the Co. Sec. of State Griswald is being given 10 min. to address SCOTUS concerning his removal from the Co. ballot relating to the "Insurrectionist" language in the 14th Amm. What a contrast this will present in the opponents. She shared in a interview last night that she grew up in a cabin w/a outhouse and on food stamps and she is opposing the uber fortunate of fortunate sons, top tier NY privilege, oblivious to consequences. That someone w/her background, light yrs. from his silver spooned existence, can rise to potentially impact his fate represents what's good in America.

Appeals Court Rejects Trump’s Immunity Claims, Setting Up Supreme Court Review

The former president had asked the court to overturn District Judge Tanya Chutkan’s ruling in December that Trump’s actions were not part of his duties as president and that holding that office did not give him a “get out of out jail free” card.

The appeals court gave Trump until next Monday to file an appeal with the Supreme Court to get a stay of its ruling until the high court decides whether to take the case.

The appellate court decided that “for the purpose of this criminal case, former President Trump has become citizen Trump, with all of the defenses of any other criminal defendant.”

74 percent of Republicans say it’s fine for Trump to be dictator for a day
A new survey found that a majority of Republicans say it is fine for former President Trump to be a dictator for the day if he wins the presidential election.

The survey from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and YouGov found that 74 percent of Republican voters said it would be a good idea if Trump follows through on his remarks in which he said he would be a dictator only on the first day of his second term. Twenty-six percent of Republicans say it would be a bad thing.

Thirty-six percent of independent voters said it would be good, while 65 percent said it would be a bad idea.

Democrats were much more opposed. Only 13 percent of Democratic respondents said it would be a good idea for the country if Trump fulfilled his vow to be dictator for a day, while 87 percent said it would be a bad idea.

Trump has said in the past that he would not be a dictator if he were reelected, “except for day one.” On the campaign trail in Iowa in December, Trump doubled down on his claims that he would close the border and be “drilling, drilling, drilling” on his first day back in office.

“After that, I’m not a dictator,” he told Sean Hannity of Fox News.

The remarks have fueled concern for Democrats and even some Republicans that a second Trump term could threaten democracy, as he has threatened to abuse power and target people who have disagreed with him.

The former president is currently defending himself against 91 criminal charges among four state and federal criminal indictments. He is the front-runner to become the GOP’s nominee for the 2024 presidential election.

According to the survey, voters are split on whether they believe Trump is guilty of charges that he tried to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Fifty-eight percent of respondents said Trump is likely guilty, while 42 percent said they believe he is innocent. Seventy-two percent of Republican voters said they think the former president is innocent.

The survey was conducted Jan. 25-30 among 1,064 respondents. It has a margin of error of 3.7 percent.

A statical example of either insanity or cynicism, it all adds up to fascism and a cult. One thing about cults though, is the more cultish they are, the more they depend on the fate of the cult leader and the fate of this cult leader might be sealed soon.

It would be an unusually long day.
