i don't give one flying fuck about the republicunts fake shitstorm...and i realize Biden wasn't the one who was supposed to physically deal with that shit, but someone he employed was, and that makes him responsible for what they do...he didn't check that something that important was being done?
that IS carelessness on Biden's part, and bad judgement on top of that for trusting who ever it was.

But it is not something I would still consider all the fake outrage they are generating so that they can turn this into their next 'But her emails' after everything else bounces off Biden's old white ass.
I disagree based on 'not enough information'.
Is there a rule that everywhere a former VPOTUS/POTUS had set up gets scrubbed to check for these things? If not maybe that should be a good law to set up, but I am not sure there would be something that thorough (because accidents do sometimes happen and I can see how easily some papers could get shifted into others and unless someone opened that particular file they might never see it, and going through every single piece of paper seems unfeasible, but who knows I can be wrong on this and am willing to listen), until it was something that got abused in the way Trump did this.

It was meant in a bit of a humorous way, but underlings screwing up top secret documents often means jail time, "why didn't you follow established procedures"? Will be asked. They have a manual and established procedures like any office job, there are protocols for this stuff and logs kept of documents. Joe staffed all the positions out in the WH, unlike Trump who never did.

i think it would be an excellent law, and should be passed with no delay. and there should be one person assigned to the whitehouse that makes sure all that shit gets returned when it's done being used, like the same damn day it's done being used.
although i'm sure trump would have found a way around that law, and that person. probably have all meetings next to a copy machine...

Yes by law in 2050, that's for both cooking and heating. Phasing out has been going on for at least 5 years already. Like I said in another thread, NG is the new coal, as in treated as such. New homes in NL don't have a gas connection since 2018, and when someone leaves a (social housing) rental its gas connection is replaced before a new renter gets the place. About 3 years ago a non-SWAT team entered my kitchen to replace the gas connection with a power outlet suitable for stoves. I now big 5-prong power connector behind my stove. I didn't actually have it replaced and still cook on gas (not ready to replace my oven yet...) so not quite a ban yet. Gas used for cooking is just a very small percentage of the total. Replacing it is often a side-effect of replacing heating (with among others heat pumps) and/or installing solar.I think you will see places like the EU ban gas stoves, by ban they mean no new ones will be sold, if you already have one nobody will be coming to your door with a fucking swat team!NG will end up being used for power generation, but every fast food restaurant uses propane or NG for a reason, so perhaps commercial use too.
When coal was replaced with very very cheap gas (both locally sourced and even cheaper Russian gas) the energy used by appliances and heating systems wasn't a major factor. Several decades ago the by EU required energy label introduced a way for consumers to get choose more efficient products but it resulted in lots of patching rather than real changes. As you probably know, fries are pretty big here, literally compared to McD, but also in popularity. With the current energy rates many what we call 'snackbars' can't survive, just as bread bakers. They are stuck in their ways, wasting energy, and frankly I like to see businesses who cannot adopt die out. These circumstances lead to innovative solutions, just a few days ago a snackbar reopened, selling fries cooked in a new infrared fryer.
As for using NG for power generation, yes, for now, specifically for dark hours and other times where wind and solar can't provide a steady enough supply. That will end too. Besides meeting emission goals, if anything because the world's running out of ng almost as fast as oil. It differs per continent but for example, in 2019 US had enough NG for the following 84 years, world average roughly 42. 'Thanks' to Putin, all the projections are off the table. In ways it's worse, in ways it's better.
Just the American ones poisoning and fattening up our kids. If MacDonalds, KFC, Burger King and similar disgusting food suppliers with burgers from 80 different cows go out of business in the process it would be a huge win.

Yeah but they don't work at 'fast food' restaurants. The 'snackbars' (closest local equivalent) use electric fryers.
Again the portion of NG used for cooking is a very small percentage, if that would be the only thing for which people would use NG there wouldn't be a problem in terms of emission and supply.

some do. i like a gas range and an electric oven, myself. gas gives you the ability to fine tune, from a full rolling boil to a barely bubbling simmer, which is difficult to achieve with an electric range, but the electric oven is more stable, able to maintain a constant temp better, and better for keeping things warm, gas, even on low, tends to keep cooking the bottoms of things.
Don't forget CHiPs..i hated the guy with the teeth- no cop has teeth that white..a miscast.

in the US the focus is health: generation of asthma-causing and -exacerbating agents. I can’t say for sure, but it seems to me to be more of a problem of gas stoves in poor tune than something intrinsic.
Places I’ve lived, I’ve alternated between gas and electric. Electric’s downfall is low power. You cannot do stir-fry with just three kW. Fryers have a heat-storage effect that allows somewhat lower power levels.

I didn't like cop shows when i was a kid. I'd get up and go play when they came on. adam 12, starsky and hutch, chips, kojack...i hated all that shit. i wasn't rooting for the crooks, i didn't like either side. the only use i had for charlies angels involved slow motion scenes....
of course, that's extended into the present...i have never watched any cop show regularly, or willingly. never seen a full episode of s.c.i. any fucking where, or hill street blues, or even fucking cops...i see enough cops waddling around looking either lost or pissed to ever want to see one on my tv
