Avocalite.ie has 85W cfls for 14.95. The cheapest in Nirvana were 55 yoyos!!

can u link me to that perticular bulb? Will the 85w do for veg and flowering 2 plants, if so how many do i need and what fixtures?

also need help choosing strains. thinking of 2 autoflowering northern lights but heard they can be unstable with their flowering time?

this is my first indoor grow, have done 3 outdoor before so all help appreciated!

Cheers mate. im near enough to dundalk, what about yourself? me seeds came this mornin, plain brown envelope with bubble wrap so they were discreet enough. seeds look in top order so i'd reccomend the site to anybody lookin seeds. any sign of yours arriving?

I did 3 autoflower grows before my current one. Favourite autoflowering strain for me was White Dwarf. Really nice clear high but can be real knockout if you have a couple of spliffs. Gave a little to a friend as he got a Iolite. (hand help vapouriser http://www.my-iolite.com/) and he said it was some of the tastiest weed he'd ever had.

On another note those iolites are the dogs bollix. Such a slick way to toke and the lads are now using them in nightclubs. Looks like your just sucking on a straw for a drink. Even tested it in the back of a taxi and the driver said nothing.

I don't think 1 would do it for you. With cfls the general rule seems to be the more, the merrier as long as you can find some way to control the heat (even though it's less of a problem than with hps lights it can still get too hot). I'm planning on using 4-6 of these when I start my next grow. As they are red spectrum, they are better for flowering, but I have heard that you can veg ok with red spec lights - just get slower growth.

I've been bringing my girl inside at night to avoid the frost - came downstairs this morning and the whole ground floor smelled like skunky sticky bud! Amazing the stink that 1 12 inch high plant can put out!!

Cool. I was planning on doing 2 x NL at 12/12 start to finish with four of those lights. (Aiming for 2-3 os off the 2)
What are you growing under the 4-6 your planning on using?
Is there any blue spectrum on that site?

TBH I didn't look for blue spectrum ones - just wanted the highest wattage they had. I have a few White Dwarf autos, an AK47 and some himalaya blue diesel - not sure what I'm going to stick in there yet but it will be one of those.

They are class man. From the link you can see what they look like. They run on butane gas like a lighter and you fill it up. You fill the bowl and put the top back on. You fire it up and it burns for a few second to get it to vaping point. Then the little ignitor goes off and you hit it by sucking on the straw. Inhale and when you exhale a small bit of water vapour comes off your breath. nearly impossible to see. Can see if you look closely. Such a sweet taste from the weed and now burning so no cancer shit or tobacco. Perfect for in a club or pub or something. I'd imagine there is a tiny bit of smell but you can see any smoke so can't prove where the smell comes from. Wouldnt be doing it in mass or anything but good for a club or pub or out and about.

Saw them in Himalayan Crafts in Navan for €150 but yoiu can get them on the net for €120

These look great! My chest does be fucked sometimes from smokin j's all the time. Might invest in one of these bad boys.

Whats the craic che, do you know if they sell bubble bags in the nirvana? I have been searching the interweb far and wide and all in can find are sites in canada and holland.

Anywhere in ireland sell them over the counter? I have a sack of trim i want to make hash out of.

Believe it or not I got a set in Himalayan crafts in navan a couple of days ago. Pricey bit of kit though. 185 for a 5 bag set. Last one in the shop I think so give them a bell. They might have them. Have iolites too

doiremick, i bet you cant wait until you get the light, i would be going mad if i found out my order was somewhere it shouldn`t be, although customs opened mine and actually opened the light unit aswell! get some pics up when you get it i cant wait to see if it makes a difference to your plants aswell, mine seem to love the light and the thick stems have started to bend towards the light. the buds are packing on now aswell.

one thing i need to ask lads is the plants are drinking a hell of a lot of water now, like 2-300 mils each nearly every couple of days and when i go back to them the pots are snuff dry. do they drink a lot more when they are in flower.

I thought the same with mine. 21 days of 12/12 today and from pics and videos they seem to be a bit behind. They have started to pick up a bit but Ive been feeding them pretty heavy doses. Noticed a little bit of nute burn today so giving them a nice big flush. When people saying a plant has 9 weeks of flowering for example does that mean 9 weeks from the day you switch to 12/12 or when you see the first pistil?

Mine are drinking a ridiculous amount of water. Ive got 3 in my scrog and they go through 8 litres between them every 3 days or so.

Ive also noticed that in the centre of my scrog the plants are a lot more yellow than the outer parts. Could that be the light bleaching them? Seems to be most on my Haze so given that a little does of empson salts. Should this help?
