Lads, don't believe all the Haze on the streets talk,no commercial grower grows a Haze or heavy sativa strain, the flowering period is WAY too long. What they're actually selling are indicas with sativa highs.Bear in mind every street dealer talks up the stuff they have.

If you want Haze grow it or go to Amsterdam, don't believe the hype. But even if it was Haze with the way it's thrown around and badly stored most of the THC would be degraded and wouldn't give a sativa buzz anyways.

Sorry, just had some dickhead try pass off 2gs of decent enough stuff as Amnesia Haze for €50 the other night. Pissed me off cos I didn't even ask him and be was still trying to rip me. Sent the fucker on his way.

harrekins right on the 1000 v 600,
I understand and I'm realizing that it depends on the setup of the grow room, so I appreciate the advice :). But I'm thinking for the room I'm setting up the 1000w will be superior and more versatile than the 600w but am still leaving my options open. If I get a heat issue on a hot summers day with the 1000w I can just bring her down to 600w in seconds without fukin around, just twist a knob. Thats awesome if you ask me. My ideal setup further down the line will be 1 light per plant, like a 400w or 600w per plant. I'm seeing some fucked up yields this way. Guy on here pulling 6-7 lbs from 4 plants each under its own 400w light.

The heat and cold issue is what I'm thinking about most to be honest. I'll have the 1000w being cooled instantly by a 6 or 8" air cooled hood but I'm thinking maybe in the winter I could probably do with some of the heat from the 1000w since my setup will be out the back garden in a garden shed (insulated to a certain degree but these winters are getting fuckin colder). So maybe in the summer run the coolltube and in the winter just run the bulb without cooling her. Anyway I'm rambling on here so later dudes.

Peace.

More 600's will do a better job, don't be taking advice from guys in grow shops (no offense to them) bit generally Iv found they just work in the shop. You can get nearly double the output for a little extra power running 2 600's over a 1000. And dim-able ballasts on 600w havnt the efficiency of a 600 watt bulb, cos it's still just a 1000w running at 600w.Get me?You will get alot more bud if you listen to us ;)

I'm beginning to believe :) You're right dude cheers. Only thing was that I had the shed design drawn up for a single light fixture because it was ideal given the space limitations until the new shed is up and running. Is there much difference in 600w magnetic vs 600w digital ballasts, bloomandgrow have the 600w magnetic light kits for €200 blips although the reflectors look a bit generic. Two of these kits would be cheaper than what I was going for originally with the 1000w lumatek (€300 for ballast alone).

Even if you literally hang them side by side (touching reflectors even) they'll probably only take a little more space than a 1000w fixture. Or you could get a 5inch fan and have the two bulbs in cool tubes joined together off the one fan.

One thing to consider tho, when you go to 12/12 in wintertime in a shed its kind of a shit buzz...your fucked because if run the lights at night when its coldest the police WILL eventually catch you (16C shed in -4C weather, like a Christmas tree to FLIR), but run them during the day and it'll be seriously cold at night so you should probably add a heater to the design too.

EDIT: Red hair skunk? It nice?

I used my shed Once as a grow room in the winter....
Not great to be honest... Temps way too cold, but the biggest problem was the tell tale sign of no snow on the roof where as the neighbours sheds had six inches still on top...

Plus every time I heard a helecopter i had to look at the time to see if the lamps were on or not...

Needless to say I packed it in and are now growing in remote field in Killkenny..

Im starting to think of a grow tent and LED but have loads of research to do.....

Do you know any of what you have to do? Best idea would be buy a Grow Book (ie. Indoor Outdoor Medicinal Grow Bible by Jorge Cervantes) and read it to get a basic jist of whats going on, if your starting from complete scratch I dont think many will have the time to completly help you out.

You didnt even tell us what you want, indoor/outdoor, big grow/small grow, soil/hydro (would recommend soil if your new to this) ? What seeds did you get? What soil did you get? Are you using a tent? What type of lights are you gonna use?
